Shopping Centres
Shouldn't we try the same with shopping centres in other places. (Cork, Dublin, Limerick) --Balloholic 22:29, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I think so. If you want to find out more about merging, you can look here: Wikipedia:Merging_and_moving_pages
Pathless 22:32, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- Will you start articles and suggest merge? --Balloholic 22:35, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- Great. --Balloholic 11:27, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
Dublin Shopping Centres
Please note that a merge of the list of Dublin articles you are proposing here should be notified at Wikipedia talk:Irish Wikipedians' notice board and would require considerable consensus before such a merger would take place. I, for one, am strongly opposed. I was asked, and agreed, to such a solution for Letterkenny; and only in relation to four very poor articles as they are currently written. Shopping
Note: This concerns remarks originally left at User_talk:Balloholic which were subsequently pasted here by Sarah777and refers to comments made at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Forte_Shopping_Centre Pathless 17:57, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, it was good to reach an agreement on that. Pathless 22:26, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- I was not aware of any agreement; agreement with who? (Sarah777 16:27, 13 October 2007 (UTC))
- Agreement with another editor. It's not always about you, Sarah, I know that it usually is, but not always. Pathless 18:10, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
- Third breach of WP:NPA, you are starting to annoy me. (Sarah777 19:01, 13 October 2007 (UTC))
- Accusing someone without justification of making personal attacks is a breach of WP:NPA. I pointed out on the afd page that I found your tone impolite, and I'm perfectly entitled to do that. Above, I am simply making the point that a message left on another editor's page has nothing to do with you. Please stay off my talk page if you simply want to hassle me about edits addressed to other editors, which, as far as I can see, should be of no concern to you. Pathless 09:51, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- Your tone was rude and aggressive and clearly constituted a breach of WP:NPA. Do you need diffs or citations? (Sarah777 13:51, 14 October 2007 (UTC))
- No. You've been sarcastic, rude, have assumed bad faith, and have jumped to conclusions throughout my dealings with you. You should now do whatever you feel it takes to resolve this issue, or else forget about it. In the meantime, stop badgering me, stop tailing me to other editor's talkpages and taking personal affront to remarks that don't concern you, and stop posting on my talkpage unless you want to discuss a specific article. Pathless 14:12, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- Oh dear! Fourth breach of WP:NPA. If you insist on attacking me on your talk page, that is where I will respond. If you want to continue your breaches of WP:NPA on my page, feel free. "tailing me to other editor's talkpages" - could you provide some evidence to support that charge? (Sarah777 14:37, 14 October 2007 (UTC))
- Here's the new Dublin article: Shopping in Dublin. If there is no serious disagreement about merging the Dublin centres, there shouldn't be much about the other centres in the country. Pathless 10:37, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
Shopping Centres
We settled arguement on shopping centres in Letterkenny. Going to create article on Shopping in Letterkenny. Do you agree. We are trying to merge other shopping centre articles to new articles. (E.g. Crescent Shopping centre and other shopping centres in limerick merged to shopping in limerick). --Balloholic 22:40, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- That solution sounds fine to me. Best regards (Sarah777 16:09, 13 October 2007 (UTC))
Proposed merge
These various Dublin shopping centre articles should be merged. Many of the centres are not particularly exceptional in their own right, but could have a place in a larger article on retail in Dublin. Pathless 10:35, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
I agree. --Balloholic 11:30, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
Strongly Oppose; I agreed to "Shopping in Letterkenny" as a compromise; but Dundrum Shopping Centre (when complete) will be as large as the whole town of Letterkenny. The implication of this is that no separate articles can be written on any shopping centre, no matter how notable. When complete, for example, Dundrum may be the largest in Europe. (Sarah777 16:19, 13 October 2007 (UTC))
Shopping in Limerick
Created article on Shopping in Limerick. Will you agree to merge. --Balloholic 20:29, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
