Hi, when taggin an article for speedy deletion it's normally best to provide a reason (or even better use on of the standard template), and not blank the page. See WP:CSD for more info. Cheers - Kingpin13 (talk) 07:47, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blanked the article on Nick Hoogz...again...I've undone it, and to be honest the article is not in a good state anyway. However, I noticed you've already warned him over this, and I lack the power to really do anything about it. Alaphent (talk) 10:35, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Have you actually looked at the article? It's a badly done article about a movie character that hasn't even debuted yet. 98.248.32.178 (talk) 07:35, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for making WP:NODRAMA a success!

Thank you again for your support of the Great Wikipedia Dramaout. Preliminary statistics indicate that 129 new articles were created, 203 other articles were improved, and 183 images were uploaded. Additionally, 41 articles were nominated for DYK, of which at least 2 have already been promoted. There are currently also 8 articles up for GA status and 3 up for FA/FL status. Though the campaign is technically over, please continue to update the log page at WP:NODRAMA/L with any articles which you worked during the campaign, and also to note any that receive commendation, such as DYK, GA or FA status. You may find the following links helpful in nominating your work:

  • T:TDYK for Did You Know nominations
  • WP:GAC for Good Article nominations
  • WP:FAC for Featured Article nominations
  • WP:FLC for Featured List nominations
  • WP:FPC for Featured Picture nominations

Again, thank you for making this event a success! --Jayron32.talk.say no to drama 02:45, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Substitute Warning Templates

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When using certain templates on talk pages, as you did to User talk:67.162.40.185, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:uw-test1}} instead of {{uw-test1}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Thank you. — SpikeToronto 05:06, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for helping with that IP vandal who was disrupting my talk page. I really appreciate it! My vandal-fighting hadn't ever resulted in someone attacking my page before, but I figured it was just a matter of time... Thanks again, • CinchBug08:02, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting an account for creating on the toolserver

Hello, I wish to sign up, thanks. Nifky^ 13:40, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Approved. Cheers, Pmlineditor  15:56, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ACC tool access request approved

Thank you for your interest in the account creation process. I have verified that you have signed the confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information and approved your request.

You may now access the interface here. Before you begin handling requests, please ensure you have read and understood the account creation guide and username policy to familiarize yourself with the process.

Please subscribe yourself to the private ACC mailing list following the instructions on that page. I also advise that you also join us on IRC #wikipedia-en-accounts connect where a bot informs us when new account requests come in and you can get real time advice on how to handle requests.

Please note failure to correctly assess requests will result in suspension of tool access. Account creation is not a race, and each one should be handled diligently and thoroughly. Releasing personally identifying information (such as IP and email addresses), whether intentionally or unintentionally, is treated very seriously and will generally result in immediate suspension.

Currently you are allowed to create up to six accounts per day, and you won't be able to create an account with a similar name to that of another user; these requests are marked as "Flagged user needed" on the interface. However, if you reach the limit frequently, you can request the account creator permission at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Account creator.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. Thank you for participating in the account creation process. Again welcome!

igloo

Thanks for your interest in igloo. I've now added you to the whitelist, so if you try to use the program is should allow you to connect. Let me know if you have any problems. Ale_Jrbtalk 17:12, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have new message/s Hello. You have a new message at CinchBug's talk page.

Account creator permission

I have granted the above permission to you per your request at WP:PERM. Although today is the first day on which you have reached the 6-a-day limit, I notice that there were other days where you created 4 or 5, and so were close to it.

I should give the standard warning: if you misuse this right, you will have it taken away!

I would also ask that you read the linked email on the site notice carefully - if you make too many mistakes (especially regarding the declining of requests), then tool access may be withdrawn. Should this happen, I will also remove the account creator permission.

Keep up the good work - you seem to be doing a good job, especially for a probie, as delirious would probably say! -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 15:06, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Why have you tagged above and related articles?--Saeedrags (talk) 10:15, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Because a few of the lines in the article are directly from the linked article in the template. I've re-added them from the IP who did it many revisions ago. Clearly it says to talk on the article's talk page about it and not remove the tag. Nifky^ 08:13, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I am extremely sorry for that, could you kindly check this article now.--Saeedrags (talk) 14:29, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
