Welcome!

Hello, Mgood13, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

DYK

I saw your request for help on the DYK discussion page. Looking at your recent contributions, I guess Max Joseph von Pettenkofer is the article you have been working on and which you proposed submitting to DYK. Unfortunately it does not qualify for DYK at the moment because it was already large when you started your expansion. It was 4070 B then and 11 kB now. For DYK it needs to be expanded five-fold and at present, this is a nearly three-fold expansion. If you plan to expand it further and think you may get it to a sufficient length, you need to be aware of the newness aspect of DYK; an article should be nominated within 8 days of you starting work on it (March 3 in this instance). Actually there is some leeway here, especially for new editors, and 10 or 11 days may be OK. The article is looking good, and I have removed the tag at the top of the page. If I can be of any help, please get in touch. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:16, 10 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
