A barnstar for you!

The Original Barnstar
Your work is amazing. :-)

Sorry, I speak spanish, then my english is slow but I try to learn I also love Meghan actually Danny toons (talk) 21:11, 13 December 2014 (UTC)

Thank you so much @Danny toons:. We need to keep an eye on the article and protect All About That Bass from IPs removing info that is sourced, adding info that is unsourced. Do you know how to upload a screencap for the video? Would be nice if the article had one! -Lips Are Movin (talk) 10:39, 14 December 2014 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
Hey, Could you expand Lips Are Movin#Writing and development. Your work is great. I've just nominated "Lips" for GA. Cheers! MaranoFan (talk) 12:37, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
@MaranoFan: Hey thank you so much! I can't find anything on the writing and development for it, Meg hasn't said much about the song so far :( but I'll keep checking to see if something pops up! -Lips Are Movin (talk) 12:44, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
@Lips Are Movin: Is it okay if I merge it for now?--MaranoFan (talk) 12:47, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
@MaranoFan: Sure, I'll keep adding info as they come in! :) -Lips Are Movin (talk) 12:51, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
@Lips Are Movin: Hey, Lips! I know you want to make Meghan's pages best and I applaud that but could you maybe not revert my constructive edits without discussing on the talk pages first. Afterall, Wikipedia is for all users, not for one user to dominate. Cheers! MaranoFan (talk) 04:35, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
@MaranoFan: Hi, I believe I gave sufficient reasoning in the edit summary and that it is not required of editors to contact a user before reverting their edits:
  1. You credit Title as the liner notes when in fact I added the credits from my CD single of AATB, AND Title has not been released yet so you can't credit its liner notes as a source.
  2. Beyonce's image really isn't needed as she had nothing to do with the song's development. It wasn't even proposed to her in person. If you feel an image is really needed, why not add a screenshot of the music video or of Meghan singing the song live or an image of Kevin Kadish or LA Reid who were actually involved with the song's development.

-Lips Are Movin (talk) 05:48, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin:Also, I suggest taking back All About That Bass from GA since it is not stable, and is also at WP:GOCE currently. This could prove very problematic and the article most likely won't get promoted. MaranoFan (talk) 06:08, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: an article can take months before someone bothers reviewing it, hence why I've done it in advance. Also, I felt you could've at least nominated "Lips Are Movin" with me as I literally did 90% of that article, also why I decided to nominate AATB in case someone else does before me again. -Lips Are Movin (talk) 06:19, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
@Lips Are Movin: You actually think that this is about taking credit? I nominated Lips for GA as I worked a lot on it even before your account was made. I literally improved it so the under construction template went off. It is not about that, you can still be around to help. :). You can always ask me for help on Trainor-related articles. Don't be a stranger. MaranoFan (talk) 06:25, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
@MaranoFan: Sorry I really don't wanna come across as rude or anything haha! But can we please change the credits source for AATB back to the true source. It is only logical that you can't credit an album liner that has not been released yet. We definitely can work as a team it would be awesome as Meghan's articles really need some work! She really needs some images of her own though! -Lips Are Movin (talk) 06:31, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
I changed it to the EP that has been released. MaranoFan (talk) 06:34, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: Do we need a screenshot of the video?

@MaranoFan: It would be nice but I know the admins are very strict when it comes to images so I'm trying to find an image and sufficient reasoning behind it before adding one. "Lips" could actually get a screenshot because the lip backdrop in the video was compared to The Rocky Horror Show. Do you think I can nominate Meghan's discography as a featured list now? I've cleaned it up massively-Lips Are Movin (talk) 06:58, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
@Lips Are Movin: I will check out the discography in some time. Hey! I added a screenshot for All About That Bass. Tell me how is it! MaranoFan (talk) 07:11, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

Merry Christmas

@Lips Are Movin:I think Chachi's image in the synopsis section has to be removed if a screenshot is added. What should we keep, the screenshot or the image of Chachi? MaranoFan (talk) 07:22, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: a screenshot instead of Chachi would be better imo!-Lips Are Movin (talk) 08:13, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin:How is the AATB screenshot? MaranoFan (talk) 08:15, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: It's a little blurry if I'm honest haha! -Lips Are Movin (talk) 08:20, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: Haha! The quality has to be decreased a little for inclusion. Hey! How many seconds into the video should the LAM screenshot be? MaranoFan (talk) 08:23, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: I'm not sure what is perfect but I think a moment where she is singing/dancing in front of the lips backdrop which a critic noted to be reminiscent of The Rocky Horror Show or a scene where she's with the Les Twins? -Lips Are Movin (talk) 08:49, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
Also I think we should remove the RIAA gold certifcation info because Twitter is the source and I think that might be brought up in the GAR? -Lips Are Movin (talk) 08:51, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
Just added the screenshot. :). MaranoFan (talk) 09:01, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: The cert was actually false. OMG!!! Anyway, how is the screenshot? MaranoFan (talk) 09:21, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: it's PERFECT <3 very nicely done :) I'm currently working on a revamp of the Title EP and album articles on Word document at the moment. It would be great if we could get her whole wiki up to standard before the album gets released! -Lips Are Movin (talk) 10:09, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
@Lips Are Movin: Hehe, Thank You so much! That would be awesome. Let's expand this, the most important page! MaranoFan (talk) 10:24, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
@MaranoFan: Yes, I'm working on that too! So happy there's another Megatron on Wiki, we'll make a great team! :D -Lips Are Movin (talk) 10:48, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
@Lips Are Movin: Hey, Can you add the credits & personnel for "Lips"? MaranoFan (talk) 14:48, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
@MaranoFan: Credits and personnel are obtained from the liner notes of an album or cd single, of which neither have been released for "Lips" yet. The album is only out next month. -Lips Are Movin (talk) 15:33, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
@Lips Are Movin: Entertainmentwise is unreliable, you added it and it needs to be replaced. MaranoFan (talk) 15:19, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

Trainor's discography

We need at least one image of Trainor before we even think about an FL. MaranoFan (talk) 07:24, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

Eek. I have e-mailed some Flickr users asking if they would donate an image, hopefully we will get one! I will e-mail some others tonight. -Lips Are Movin (talk) 08:15, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: Important : We better expand Trainor's main article fast or the discography is going to get merged...... MaranoFan (talk) 07:50, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: Hey. I saw that. It will take me a while before I can get to that. I want to finish with Title first because then we'll have a nice bunch of sources to use for Meghan Trainor. -Lips Are Movin (talk) 11:23, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

Trainor image

@Lips Are Movin: I don't really know Portuguese but there is an unfree image of Meghan on that wiki. How do we delete it? MaranoFan (talk) 18:54, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

I'm not sure actually haha but I think Wikipedia:Files for deletion gives a guideline! -Lips Are Movin (talk) 19:58, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: Hey, did any of the FlickR users respond? MaranoFan (talk) 05:51, 20 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: Hey not yet :( there isn't much images of her on Flickr either but holding thumbs we get a response! I think once her tour starts a lot more images will appear and we'll have a better chance then! -Lips Are Movin (talk) 05:56, 20 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: Hey, Let's expand That Bass Tour MaranoFan (talk) 06:33, 20 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: Hey I'm currently working on Title (EP) haha.-Lips Are Movin (talk) 06:39, 20 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: We are going to need a development section and a quote box from Meghan. Otherwise, It is completed! Great job! MaranoFan (talk) 03:27, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: Thanks :D I'm still working on that haha and some other things, hopefully we can be done with this by tomorrow. Meghan's main article really needs a lot of work, and the album one too -Lips Are Movin (talk) 03:37, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
@Lips Are Movin: Your work is fantastic on the EP. Once you add the development section and the quote box, give it for GA. Don't worry, I won't. Hahaha MaranoFan (talk) 04:02, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

There is a formatting problem and we need expansion. You are just fabulous at it. :). Marano fan 11:05, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: Oh gosh. I will have a look haha! It's Meghan's birthday today <3- Lips are movin 12:43, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
@Lips Are Movin: Yup. I was actually targeting for Lips to become a GA today, but the reviewer seems to have disappeared. Anyways, Today's a great day! Cheers! Marano fan 12:56, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: I would like your feedback at Talk:Title (Meghan Trainor album)#Requested move. MaranoFan Marano fan 15:09, 22 December 2014 (UTC) @Lips Are Movin: Hey, if you have Title (EP), please add C&P for DFH. Thanks :D Marano fan 16:45, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: Hey, I did respond on Talk:Title (Meghan Trainor album)#Requested move. I'm currently concentrating on Title (Meghan Trainor album), I want to have the article up to scratch before the album release and before IPs and super fans begin invading the page. After I'm done, I'll expand on Dear Future Husband and then most importantly Meghan Trainor. At least I've managed to get some Meghan images in the mean time! - Lips are movin 17:16, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: I'm done with Title (Meghan Trainor album) for now. I'll get to work on Dear Future Husband. By the way I have some new info on Lips Are Movin but I don't want it to clash with GA review. - Lips are movin 02:41, 24 December 2014 (UTC) @Lips Are Movin: You can post the info at your sandbox and link me to it. Thanks. Hey, are there any images of Meghan performing DFH? Marano fan 05:03, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: Please do not discuss reverts on my talk page, but on article talk pages. Why do you rewrite FA-quality stuff? The sample description at DFH used to meet FA criteria, but you made it an ordinary sample again. Also, do not do things differently for Meghan, which are not done for others that way, as you did with your edit to the image captiom. It would be in every one's best interest if we were editing stuff that needed to be corrected. Than to preach to users whose edits are near to FA. Marano fan 04:57, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: Oh so this is how it's going to be, I was very polite to you and I explained exactly why I did it and why my edit made perfect sense. But you have remained completely ignorant to what I wrote on your talk page. Read it again, though I doubt you will understand anything other than senselessly copying other 500 other different FA and GA articles word for word in poor grammar and repetition. And I'd appreciate that you stop copying me and change your signature font style and color, likewise with your user page and talk page. Users will begin to think we are the same person. - Lips are movin 05:55, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: 1. You don't own any signature or User page format. 2 I thought we could make a team, but you have a very strong ego. 3. You believe that everything you do is correct, when it is really not. 4. I am done being good to you. 5. Please leave Dear Future Husband, which I created, and Lips Are Movin, which I have a GA nomination of, alone. I am the major contributor at LAM. 6. I believe that you will try and maintain some distance from me, from now on. And if it still counts, Merry CHRISTMAS. Marano fan 08:01, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: It is you who does not want to work as a team and who reverts sensible edits. You started being uncivil to me on my talk page. You are ignorant and you don't own any articles on Wikipedia. Please grow up and stop playing the victim. I am all for working as team with you, but only if you stop being ignorant and start being sensible.- Lips are movin 08:25, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: Offer accepted. Let's be a team. ;) Marano fan 08:28, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: Yay! - Lips are movin 09:47, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

Flickr files

Hi! I noticed that you mentioned specific songs on your Meghan Trainor photo transfers from Flickr, but the Flickr pages don't mention the songs. How do you know which song is being performed? Just the background on the stage? Also, if the image is CC licensed on Flickr, you can upload the image to Wikipedia Commons so that the filename is available on all Wikipedias, instead of just English Wikipedia. The web page Flickr2Commons will let you see photos, file sets, or a user's files from Flickr, and then choose a filename and descriptions for each one before they are copied. --Closeapple (talk) 20:37, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

@Closeapple: Hi, yes you can see from the background on the stage for example in "Lips Are Movin" there are lips in the background and "All About That Bass" there are bass speakers and so on. I unfortunately am not familiar with how Commons works and it sounds like a bit of a chore, but feel free to do the upload yourself if you would like to :) - Lips are movin 20:45, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
@Lips Are Movin: It appears that someone else has the same interest as you, and has already been uploading them to Commons — but that person isn't bothering to choose good filenames. I've been tagging those as {{NowCommons}} — a bot will automatically change the filenames to the Commons filename in articles. The ones that could be moved but aren't yet, I tagged as {{Copy to Wikimedia Commons}}. Commons is pretty much just like Wikipedia, but with all files and not many articles. It's just that Flickr2Commons tool that looks unusual: You can still use the normal wiki upload method on Commons too. --Closeapple (talk) 20:52, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

@: Thanks a lot! :) - Lips are movin 13:47, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: The article currently states that she wrote a song for R5, but no song name is given. Also, this is not accounted in the songwriting credits section. We need a clear account, did it happen or did it not? And if it did, what was the song? Marano fan 16:21, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: Hey I'm searching for precise details for both R5 and Hunter Hayes. But irrespective, they are reliably sourced, and the songs she wrote for them could have not appeared on their albums. - Lips are movin 16:26, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
@MaranoFan: I can't find anything as to what songs she's wrote for them. Most likely unreleased or to-be-released songs? - Lips are movin 17:13, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
@MaranoFan: I'm done with the article. Do you think we can nominate it for GA or are you still scanning through it? PS: we have to nominate it together! :) - Lips are movin 18:40, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
@Lips Are Movin: Aw, thank you. You are the best. BTW, We might just get some good news here today :) - Marano fan 05:05, 28 December 2014 (UTC)

Discography

Just wanted you to know that I have recreated Trainor's discography. Marano fan 16:29, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: Thank you! :) Could you please edit the lead where it says topped the charts in 17 countries to 58 countries, there is a source on Meghan Trainor. Also don't you think we should use a different image for the discography? - Lips are movin 16:52, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: Can you edit the lede to show her first 3 albums. Also, after sometime, we can put it up for FL. Who knows?. :) Marano fan 17:08, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: Will do! If we could nominate it for FL it would be great, I'm just worried another user comes along and says she is not notable enough to have her own discography article? - Lips are movin 17:15, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

@Lips Are Movin: Hey, I'm so so sorry that I just didn't see the chart position. But I've got good news, the song that you are named after is now a good article :) :) - Marano fan 07:01, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

@MaranoFan: YASS :) <3 Meghan Trainor and All About That Bass need to be GA next, I'm currently working hard on a rewritten copyedited word document for AATB!- Lips are movin 08:29, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

Happy New Year Lips Are Movin!

January 2015

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Meghan Trainor. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount and can lead to a block, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. -- WV 06:18, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Meghan Trainor

The article Meghan Trainor you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Meghan Trainor for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of IPadPerson -- IPadPerson (talk) 14:21, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

Note

I have not now, nor have I ever talked behind your back, I don't even know you; plus, such behavior would be a personal attack against you and is incivil, both of which I am not. You did, however, almost violate the three-revert rule on "All About That Bass". You reverted three times in the article against another editor (or editors) within a 24-hour period of time. That constitutes a violation, and you were given a friendly warning to just discuss with the editor(s) and not continue to revert their edits. That is simply all I did. Your intentions are in good faith, just develop a bit of a tougher skin when it comes to editing. Not everything is personal; you seem like a talented editor, given the barn stars you've received. You just need to be a bit more careful on these things when editing, that's all. livelikemusic my talk page! 18:24, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

Thanks I wasn't directly referring to you. I just thought you might have went out of your way to warn me following the singer-songwriter dispute. But I thought wrong, and apologize if I appear rude or anything. My issue in this case is how do you resolve a dispute with an IP who is disrupting several related articles in the same way (not only All About That Bass but Title (Meghan Trainor album), I also posted a friendly warning on his user page. I work so hard on getting these articles up to standard and nominated them for GA and then these editors and IPs come along with incorrect/unsourced/ambigious content and drag the article down. And they insist on edit warring and instead it seems each time I am getting the "edit warrior" label and not them. Even so on User talk:SNUGGUMS where several users have badmouthed me unfairly behind my back. I can't help but feel discouraged by editing here. - Lips are movin 18:48, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
No, no. I would never do something like that, it's not in my demeanor as a person at all. You posted the note after reverting them a second time; their edits might have been disruptive to you, but judging from them, they seemed to be made in good intention and without harm. You cannot let your personal feelings get into your editing like you have been, you have to remain objective. Your edits on "All About That Bass" did violate the three-revert rule, since the IP's edits from my POV is that they weren't in malicious intention; they were made with well intentions. And viewing that talkpage, they seem to be more-so discussing your editing patterns, which to them resemble that of a sockpuppet. It's best, if you are not, to just go your own way and be more cautious when editing. And if you are, then just fess up to it, and you might receive leniency. livelikemusic my talk page! 18:57, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
I understand what you are saying and appreciate the advice. I'll refrain from 2 revert edit warring in future. However, I still feel I'm being very unfairly treated on Talk:Meghan Trainor and User talk:SNUGGUMS and gosssiped about. I just feel it's as if I've tried my best with some articles on Wiki and then it gets thrown back in my face with these insults and accusations et al. But I guess it'll pass over and it's all part of growing as an editor. - Lips are movin 19:12, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
I cannot speak on for the behavior on the user's talk page as I am not involved in that discussion, but I can for Meghan's. I get your passion and dedication, it's admirable. But it's off-putting and comes off completely one-sided and defensive, which you cannot be. It comes off as you not being biased and on an even level of mindset; you're focusing too much on what would be good for Trainor and not for the article itself; that's how I'm perceiving it. And maybe that's how others are, too? It's the demeanor in which you carry yourself and your edits; remember, passion is great, but sometimes over-passion can be disruptive and counterproductive. livelikemusic my talk page! 19:16, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
You're right, gossiping about another editor isn't productive behavior. You have, however, engaged in behavior that screams "not a new user" and that's why the chatter occurred. As livelikemusic said, if you are a sockpuppet of a previous editor, just fess up to it, and you might receive leniency. -- WV 19:23, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
@Livelikemusic:I understand and accept your point. And yes my points made on Talk:Meghan Trainor may come across as defensive but that does not rule them out as false whatsoever. Just because I am a fan of her does not make my views and editing regarding her bias or delusional as editors seem to be saying. Like I said, it's all very unfair and discouraging but life goes on. @Winkelvi: I'd fess up if I were, but like you can see on this page I am still learning each day a new policy on Wikipedia and I spend a lot of time on here familiarizing myself with Wiki policies, I've made more than 1000 edits on here in a month I'm sure and it's very discouraging that a bunch of editors have all of a sudden just decided to undermine my editing. - Lips are movin 19:38, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

Hello! There is a DR/N request you may have interest in.

This message is being sent to let you know of a discussion at the Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard regarding a content dispute discussion you may have participated in. Content disputes can hold up article development and make editing difficult for editors. You are not required to participate, but you are both invited and encouraged to help this dispute come to a resolution. The discussion is at DRN:Meghan Trainor. Please join us to help form a consensus. Thank you! --Guy Macon (talk) 08:24, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

Is Meghan signed with RCA Records? I see that Slant Magazine is definitely a reliable source and it lists RCA as Trainor's label instead of Epic Records. [2] -- Marano fan 09:04, 12 January 2015 (UTC)

Nope that is definitely a glitch on Slant's part haha!- Lips are movin 09:14, 12 January 2015 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on All About That Bass.

-- WV 13:21, 16 January 2015 (UTC)

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but there is already a discussion underway concerning that same user, also titled "User Winkelvi"[3]. I have moved the discussion to that location. Winkelvi is disrupting the album page. Shiverrly wonderssss...-- Marano fan 07:36, 17 January 2015 (UTC)

He's going out of his way to aggravate the editors on Meghan Trainor articles, derailing each article one by one. I and several other editors have reported him at WP:ANI. Hopefully he gets what he is asking for because it looks as if his disruptive behavior and ignorant POV editing won't be stopping anytime soon. - Lips are movin 07:41, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
I am probably going off wiki for a few months. Just wanted to let you know, so that you can keep improving Meghan's articles. I am truly depressed. I'm sorry but I need to stop Wikipedia before I break my laptop. :( Marano fan 08:37, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
@MaranoFan: Hey please don't let this problematic, harassing user get to you, your contributions are so valuable and Meghan Trainor articles would not be of the standard they are if it was not for your work. User:Winkelvi has not only been disrupting Meghan-related articles and harassing its contributors but many other different articles and users as well as being discussed on the WP:ANI. He will be handled accordingly by the admins hopefully. In the mean time, it's best that you just ignore Winkelvi's troll-like, edit warrior behavior and just report the incidents to WP:ANI. It's clear this user gets some sort of pleasure by baiting disputes and edit wars and behaving like he does, aggravating other editors, ignore him. He's not worth it. - Lips are movin 09:26, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
I will recommend you take All About That Bass off GA till we get a topic ban on Winkelvi. Marano fan 09:33, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
I will do so once the WP:ANI is resolved, as I've listed on WP:ANI that two articles Winkelvi derailed were/are GANs (Meghan Trainor and AATB). - Lips are movin 10:05, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
Also, did you notice that he started disrupting the page once I gave the edit summary: "With this, the article should be ready for a GA if not disrupted"? Do you think he only has a problem with us taking Meghan's articles to GA? Also, should we ask him why he doesn't want them promoted? Hmm... Something is very fishy. I feel creepy making any edit, thinking that Winkelvi is watching just for him to swoop back in and revert them again... Marano fan 11:54, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
What Winkelvi is doing is the definition of WP:WIKIHOUNDING.- Lips are movin 11:59, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
@MaranoFan: Hey. The reason I removed TCJ as a source on the critical reception was because it is not used on Metacritic, which in the case of WP:N I thought would be the best case to use Metacritic reviews instead of handpicking our own to achieve a standard of neutrality. Would you not agree? Ps: I am however, going to incorporate TCJ and Time etc as a source in the composition/music and lyrics section which I will revamp next. - Lips are movin 12:53, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
We also need to specify with regard to Daily News as there are several newspapers of the same name, hence why I used New York Daily News - that is what they are referred to in the source as well. - Lips are movin 13:02, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
Hey, what do I do? This stupid vandal has truly spoiled my day. I am feeling like the wiki is exploding. Can you just go over Lips Are Movin? Marano fan 06:32, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
Honestly I'm trying to avoid editing on Trainor article until this WP:WIKIHOUND and edit warrior is blocked, but it seems to be case of having friends in high places, he has been reported on three separate noticeboards now and the admins are yet to do anything but dish out two mild warnings. Have you seen he has even the WP:WIKIHOUND nerve to add himself to the list of editors involved with verification of Trainor articles when he has not added or positively contributed to any of Trainor's articles whatsoever. - Lips are movin 06:51, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
@Lips Are Movin: You should go to DRN and start a discussion for Topic Ban because I'm currently the only one. This user is obsessed with Meghan and not in a positive way.. Marano fan 06:55, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
@MaranoFan: I don't think he's obsessed with Meghan, he is simply obsessed with Wikihounding editors, have you seen what drama he caused at Bess Myerson recently, there are six different issues being reported by this user at WP:ANI. I can't believe an editor can piss off and aggravate so many different editors and get away with it. - Lips are movin 07:00, 18 January 2015 (UTC)

Sockpuppet investigation

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/MaranoFan, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

1RR

Please read and familiarize yourself with WP:1RR. There is a great deal of attention being paid to your edits, and regardless of 3RR, you can still be blocked for edit warring. By limiting yourself to 1RR for now, you can avoid this danger. I really hope you understand what I'm saying here. Viriditas (talk) 04:36, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

@Viriditas: if you have a look at my user contributions, I have not made a single revert in 3 days. Winkelvi has been WP:WIKIHOUNDING me and MaranoFan for the last week and I've just decided to ignore it altogether, look at his contributions it is almost entirely made up of nitpicking and finding issues with articles we edit or are accusations of SPI. - Lips are movin 07:52, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
That's great. I hope that the admins watching this page are now aware of the situation. Keep up the good work. If other editors are seen as repeatedly reverting, there may be good cause to bring their editing behavior to the attention of the wider community. Viriditas (talk) 08:07, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
@Viriditas: I feel it's been very unfair the way I have been treated on here over the last few days, the witch hunting, accusations, insults and wikihounding across all noticeboards and Trainor articles. I feel Winkelvi received exactly what he dished out, the only difference he has friends in high places and I don't because I'm new. My contributions have only been extremely beneficial to Meghan articles, I rewrote both Meghan Trainor and All About That Bass and both are very respectably written, almost entirely on my own and yet I'm being wikihounded by several editors as a terrible editor with terrible behaviour. I have not once vandalized anybody's talk pages and I'm quite frankly sick and tired of Winkelvi and friends undermining and insulting me to this day even after the ANI drama. It is unfair and it is WP:WIKIHOUNDING, but I won't even bother trying anymore. If an editor can get off free in dozens of reports across all noticeboards by several different users, what will stop him now? He clearly knows how to duck and dive with all the friends he canvasses on talk pages and e-mails to come to his defense each time. - Lips are movin 09:46, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
I realize you are frustrated, but if you focus only on content and follow the policies and guidelines as best you are able, then all of the side issues will resolve themselves on their own. Other editors will notice your good work and will discipline the other editor. Also remember, nobody owns an article and everyone is welcome to contribute. Get in the habit of using the talk page effectively and resorting to dispute resolution when necessary. Viriditas (talk) 10:44, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice. - Lips are movin 11:24, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

Edit warring block for 48 hours

Because of your continuous edit warring over multiple pages over the last week, I have blocked you for 48 hours. This on-going drama has become very disruptive. The continual back and forth on multiple pages by both sides needs to end. I highly encourage you all to work together to form consensuses at talk pages before implemented these edits. After 48 hours, your block will expire. As always, blocks may be appealed using {{unblock|reason}}. only (talk) 11:34, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

In my reverts, I have requested every time with edit summaries that Winkelvi should partake in consensus and refer to the talk page, which he completely ignores. See Talk:All About That Bass, if anything I have tried to resolve the issues this user persistently begins and all reverts have been for the aforementioned reasons for the aforementioned article and user. - Lips are movin 11:59, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
The answer to that isn't to keep reverting, then. Using edit summaries to try to reach consensus or engage in discussion is not the way to handle things. only (talk) 12:04, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
  • It can be disputed whether you violated 3-revert rule or not, I think you should rephrase your request, you should tell that how you will avoid continuing to edit war in the future. Bladesmulti (talk) 12:06, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
Please see Talk:All About That Bass - I not only used edit summaries, but the article's talk page as well, which Winkelvi ignored and retaliated by reporting me for "vandalism". If it will mean something, I pledge and promise to not make a single revert for a week, irregardless if my attempts at consensus on the article's talk page are ignored or not.- Lips are movin 12:09, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
You never requested page protection on Wikipedia:Requests for page protection, you never asked for any assistance on Wikiprojects, noticeboards(Reliable source, Biography of living person, Neutral), you have made no adequate attempt to stop edit warring. You should rephrase your unblock request and only talk about yourself, see Wikipedia:NOTTHEM. Bladesmulti (talk) 12:16, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
I am not completely familiar with such noticeboards and policies, so it's helpful that you have pointed them out for me. My inexperience told me that to request consensus at an article talk page was the best way to stop an edit war. I apologize for my reverts, and pledge to not edit war again and if such a situation arises again I pledge to consult Wikiprojects, noticeboards(Reliable source, Biography of living person, Neutral) for assistance. - Lips are movin 12:20, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

I'm done with Wiki, I have worked so hard on AATB and then all these editors who barely write articles and only criticize them come and derail and insult all the work I put in that article. If this is what Wiki is about, then I'm not going to waste my time any longer on here. Trainor articles can from here on out can continue to be stub-like fan prose, everything I do is unfairly insulted and criticized by some really horrible editors, I AM DONE. - Lips are movin 07:44, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
Just butting in to say that I hope you don't really quit Wikipedia just because your content didn't stay exactly as you left it. Wikipedia is a collaborative effort, meaning that once you edit it others are free to make further edits. That's the spirit of Wiki; no one means to insult you in any way by making changes. If you really are deadset on it, perhaps you could focus your effort on perhaps starting a blog or website about Trainor? You obviously seem to have a strong passion for her music. Cheers, –Chase (talk / contribs) 13:43, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
@Chasewc91: You're proving the point that a lot of editors are accusing me of on here. I am such a terribly big Meghan fan that I'm incapable of writing encyclopedic content, I'm not sure if anyone is aware of what the articles looked like before I edited them, I spent weeks writing them. I am all for a collaborative effort by all means, but the snide comments and edit summaries by users on the talk page and revision history of All About That Bass - I can't help but take it personally as I wrote that whole article on my own. I also find that all the petty nitpicking, tagging and edit warring extremely discouraging. And after all the SPI accusations and drama at ANI, I can't help but feel some editors are moreso going out of their way to inhibit my efforts than "collaborate". - Lips are movin 19:59, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
All due respect, but I'm seeing some selective memory on your part with your comments, Lips. Accusations, finger-pointing, name calling, edit warring, mud-dragging, user space vandalism/harassment/provoking, bogus warning placements and bogus report filings. Lots of WP:IDHT, too. All done by you not long ago. You are not innocent. As far as what you did " write" at the articles you mentioned above: if you start looking at it as volunteer "contributing", it might help you better understand what goes on in Wikipedia. We all contribute to the larger effort: building an encyclopedia. Writing it alone, no; contributing to it jointly, yes. None of it occurs with one editor, in a solitary vacuum. -- WV 21:02, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
@Winkelvi: I'm going to be brutally honest here, but you in particular have made Wikipedia an extreme chore for me lately. You know what you started, the SPI accusations, your bogus warnings on my talk page, your bogus reports of me at 3RR, the constant criticizing of every single article I edit. Where have I ever harassed or vandalized a user space? You seem to be confused with MaranoFan and appear to spreading this false claim all over Wikipedia, even claiming I have "a history of vandalism" - where is this history if you mind me asking? It's as if you are persistently going out of your way to inhibit my editing and grab every opportunity you can to insult me or throw an unwarranted accusation around or two. I'm all for collaborating and wish us both could, but it's just the snide, insulting way you go about it that is very discouraging for me. You don't even bother acknowledging the weeks of effort I put in the article, and instead just merely nitpick it in every way possible with a bold snide edit summary or three and dismiss it as "very badly written" "the most bloated article ever" "would never be a GA" and so on - how would you feel if you put so much effort into an article and another user persistently insults the article knowing very well which user wrote the article. I took this break hoping you would move on but it seems you still want to carry on, how does one collaborate with an editor who constantly falsely accuses you of things, tries his best to find every little petty fault with every bit of editing you do, is not willing to partake in consensus with you? How? - Lips are movin 21:30, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
Excuse me! Confusing me with you? Lips, I have done nothing but encourage you to come back everytime you wander off. You think that I do all of the thngs Winkelvi listed. I am actually starting to believe that Winkelvi is right about you. You are really not as innocent as you claim. It would be good if you would stop your association with me if you want to just go ahead and defame me. Your edits are good but your attitude is truly terrible. Regards ! S/he did a great job at editing Wikipedia. What did s/he do? If you have evidence, prove it. Show the diffs here, if you want to point fingers. By the way, I agree with Chasewc91 that you are a great editor, Lips Are Movin. I am just sorry to say that your hard work did not pay off. I skimmed through the article and thought that it was too lengthy, but it should deserve a good article. Your hard work will be noticed one day. Thank you for being a tireless contributor, and please do not leave the Wiki. We need diligent editors like you. And, no, I'm not being hypocritical like those shit editors out there. As for Another Believer, the wiki.wiki page looks invalid, I don't know, I have a bad feeling of it. Whatever the case is, Lips Are Movin, I hope you stay here. I will talk to Gloss and ask why the article was rejected for GA. The one con I see is the unbelievably lengthy article, as everyone stated out, may be why it caused a downfall to the standards of a good article. To be honest, I had never seen such a long article on a song before on the Wiki. To help, I will recommend that you remove the plagiarism accusations, as (basically every song that reach #1 has one) it is unnotable, and the Blurred Lines case should deserve more of a plagiarism accusation. If you, Lips Are Movin, have any queries, feel free to drop a message at my talk page. Remember, I'm not two-faced, like Meghan said! Nahnah4 (talk | contribs | guestbook) 09:26, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
Why are you trying to stir up dust? Your non-AGF wall of text rant is out of line and just more drama. Let it go. -- WV 15:01, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
@Winkelvi: Who? Me or Lips Are Movin? Nahnah4 (talk | contribs | guestbook) 05:56, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
You, Nahnah4. -- WV 06:10, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
@Winkelvi: Nah, I'm also like this in real life. BTW I try to assume as much good faith as possible, but it always tend to go downhill. Nahnah4 (talk | contribs | guestbook) 06:49, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

Mourning

3 months ago, today, you left Wikipedia. I wanted you to know that hey I bought Title (EP) to GA. Which was part of your genious plan. I may be heading to the same fate. I just want you to know that you were a great editor and friend. I will always remember you, (even when I forget myself). :( All About That Bass (A word?? / Stalking not allowed...) 17:56, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

Welcome Back!

I'm glad to see you return. Saw you editing I Really Like You. You were a good editor, particularly at the Meghan Trainor-related articles. I hope to see more of you on here. Welcome back to Wikipedia! -- Joseph Prasad (talk) 19:15, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

Thanks so much! :) - Lips are movin 19:17, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
Hello again! MaranoFan is currently in the middle of a script-enforced Wikibreak that ends in October, but just thought I'd let you know that I reviewed both the Title EP and the Title album. EP passed for GA, album did not. Regards, Snuggums (talk / edits) 21:54, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

Discussion at Blank Space

Can you take part in a discussion at Blank Space's talk page? The thread is Talk:Blank_Space#Cover_Versions. Thank you in advance. -- Joseph Prasad (talk) 02:20, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

Dear Future Husband question

Would it be appropriate to add to the page that there is a version released to Radio Disney that has altered lyrics, and then add the before and after altered lyrics? Thanks. ilovechristianmusic (Talk to Me!) 17:38, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

If it's reliably sourced it would be notable, though I think stating which lyrics were altered would be unnecessary. - Lips are movin 17:28, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
(talk page stalker)Reliable sources alone do not establish notability. See this for more. -- WV 20:38, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
The fact the song had to have its lyrics altered for a release on a major radio station in the US is a notable enough inclusion if reliably sourced, is it not? - Lips are movin 20:57, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
@Lips Are Movin: Thank you for your help.
@Winkelvi: How am I being a page stalker? ilovechristianmusic (Talk to Me!) 13:11, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
TPS is indicating to the userspace inhabitant that I am responding because the page is on my watchlist or I noticed the discussion. It's not saying you are a TPS. Lips, you seem to have a misconception regarding what makes for notability in relation to articles and content. Please read WP:NOTABILITY to get a clearer picture. One or two reliable source mentions may not give that content the notability required for inclusion. -- WV 17:23, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
I think you maybe misinterpreted what I meant with "If it's reliably sourced it would be notable". I definitely did not mean just anything could be included if it's sourced, but in ILCM's case, the info he/she wants to include is indeed notable. I am familiar with WP:NOTABILITY, but a reminder is of course never harmless so ty for the tip! - Lips are movin 17:57, 9 June 2015 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for your post on Winkelvi's talk page. That showed real class. --NeilN talk to me 05:13, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

Thanks. I felt very much guilty and embarrassed reading back on the personal attacks I made. A learning experience. - Lips are movin 05:28, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

Be encouraged

I haven't taken a look at any of your contributions or edits but noticed your post in the Teahouse. Can I just say that I was/am exactly in the same place. Please, please don't stop editing. Please know that almost all serious editors want to see you succeed and prosper, making good contributions to the encyclopedia. You are welcome to visit me on my own talk page for the whole story; I even have been blocked and have had two very terrible discussions posted for all to see on the ANI (adminstrator's notice board incident)about me. If it makes you feel even a little bit better, you won't have any trouble recognizing one of your detractors from the Teahouse make some pretty negative remarks about me. You are also welcome to email me, the link will appear in the left hand column on my talk page. Best Regards,

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I've had a bit of breather, apologized for my behavior and sorted my issues out. It's been a bit of learning experience for me, something all inexperienced editors have to go through I guess. - Lips are movin 18:49, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

There's no rush

Obviously, you are having problems with posting. Why not just wait to comment until you are at a computer that won't cause glitchy-problems, rather than creating more history than necessary at the Trainor talk page with deleting the errors caused by your mobile device. There's no rush, and no deadline in Wikipedia, so don't worry about it right now. Okay? -- WV 17:06, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

Okay thanks, will do. I'll be able to do replies tomorrow afternoon if I have spare time at work. I still think archiving two or three of the other older discussions from 3/4 months ago wouldn't do any harm. - Lips are movin 17:10, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Sorry, I guess I didn't understand that it was past discussions you wanted archived, I thought you were wanting the current discussions archived. I will look into it and see if it's too soon to archive the past discussions. But, on that note, I have to say that to do it just for one user who is having computer issues would probably be considered a bit unorthodox. -- WV 17:44, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
WP:ARCHIVE says The talk page guidelines suggest archiving when the talk page exceeds 75 KB (or 75,000 bytes), or has multiple resolved or stale discussions. The talk page is on 114,000 bytes+, a lot of the relevant issues in older discussions were resolved. I know it's a bit selfish and demanding of me to ask, but I don't want my access problems to drag out the BRD process for everyone. I know both me and BBMC are keen to move through it as swiftly as possible. Thanks for the consideration. - Lips are movin 18:02, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
