Please don't revert User:Cdg1072's deletion on this article. He's removing his own addition to the article, which is supported only by his own unpublished paper. Several editors have been discussing the issue. Completely understandable why you reverted him (unexplained deletion I assume) since he's been using possibly as amny as 6 different IPs as well as his account, and he's not very good about using edit summaries or signing his comments. Page Curation newsletter

Hey Linguisticgeek. I'm dropping you a note because you used to (or still do!) patrol new pages. This is just to let you know that we've deployed and developed Page Curation, which augments and supersedes Special:NewPages - there are a lot of interesting new features :). There's some help documentation here if you want to familiarise yourself with the system and start using it. If you find any bugs or have requests for new features, let us know here. Thanks! Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Template:Hindu Nationalism shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 01:05, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Trousseau Week has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Local event; no general importance

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi, Please refrain from adding nickname to the BLP again and again after being disputed by many other editors. It will be much practical if you add the refs with it in the another section. Reverting every edit and adding the name in bold repeatedly is not appropriate. Harsh (talk) 10:23, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Also wondering why you've insisted upon a nickname used in one article. Most articles on living people only refer to individual's nom de plume if its usage in source materials justifies it. In this case, it seems to be superfluous, but perhaps you could defend your decision. —Foolsscholar — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.108.149.196 (talk) 14:24, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Harshan Nair.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Harshan Nair.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 12:29, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on K. K. Shetty, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Bunt community Vandalism

Don't not add unnecessary explanation and fake sources Bunt56 (talk) 14:41, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You have been repeatedly removing properly sourced citations from well known scholars without reasonable explanation. Looking at your previous edits it seems you have been indulging in this behavior with a number of articles on wikipedia. If do not behave in a constructive manner and try to own articles then I would have to report you to the admins for further action. Thank you Linguisticgeek (talk)

Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or a topic ban. Could you please tell me what is your problem if I add "Kannada speaking family" for a kannadiga. What is wrong in mentioning that??? Why don't you object if it is mentioned as Maratha for Sachin, Maratha for Rajini, Tuluva family for Rakshit Shetty, Tuluva family for Anushka shetty and etc but why do you object if "Kannadiga" is mentioned for a kannadiga. Why do you try to hide the fact?? What bothers you?? Could you please stop disruptively reverting the edits? Steamerrr (talk) 12:53, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please adhere to wiki policy of adding reliable sources before making any assertion. You have been repeatedly adding unsourced content on a lot of articles and I understand have been warned many times before as well. Linguisticgeek (talk)

Notice

The article Vinay Kumar Sorake has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
