Logos in userboxes

You can't have copyrighted logos in userboxes. You can see WP:NFCC. I have removed several from userboxes of yours. --Hammersoft (talk) 01:47, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

I've done new image in User:Kubek15/internetmail. Kubek15 (Sign!) (Contribs) (UBX) 13:14, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Just wanted to say that I like your new logo used in User:Kubek15/internetmail ! - Ahunt (talk) 11:46, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Krzysztof P. Jasiutowicz

An editor has nominated Krzysztof P. Jasiutowicz, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Krzysztof P. Jasiutowicz and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 18:45, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

I have withdrawn the nomination for the ariticle. Thanks for translating the article and saving it in the nick of time. Keep up the good work.
Peace! SWik78 (talk) 17:18, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

The Barnstar of Recovery
For translating the Susana A. Herrera Quezada article during its AfD and thus saving it from deletion, I hereby award you this Barnstar of Recovery. Keep up the good work. SWik78 (talk) 17:22, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Subpage in categories for Wikipedia articles

Regarding User:Kubek15/Krzysztof P. Jasiutowicz, note that Wikipedia:User page#What may I not have on my user page? says: "Do not put your userpage or subpages, including work-in-progress articles, into categories used by Wikipedia articles". PrimeHunter (talk) 23:15, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

I "nowikied" (<nowiki>) the categories. Kubek15 (Sign!) (Contribs) (UBX) 12:08, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. PrimeHunter (talk) 12:33, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Translations

Hello and first off, thanks for working on WP:PNT. Can I ask though if you are using a CAT program to translate the pages? -Yupik (talk) 19:58, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

No, I only sometimes use Computer-Assisted translation programs. Normally I translate as I know this language (I didn't include some of languages I speak to my Babel list). Kubek15 (Sign!) (Contribs) (UBX) 09:42, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Ok. Just to let you know though, CAT programs should not be used to translate wikipedia articles at all. If you come across an article that you do not reasonably understand the language for, put it up on WP:PNT (along with the language, if you know which one it is) and an editor who knows that language will come along and deal with it as quite a few of the people who end up at WP:PNT are polyglottal to the extreme. Rather OT: what language pair(s) do you translate for work? It's always nice to meet other translators :) -Yupik (talk) 20:18, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
I translate Polish -> English and inversly, German -> Polish and inversly, German -> English and inversly. I learn Japanese -> English. And you? Kubek15 (Sign!) (Contribs) (UBX) 11:43, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Mainly Finnish to English nowadays, but also Swedish to English, Northern Sámi to English, Spanish to English and Catalan to English. Depends a lot on the customer. Some day I wish I would be offered work translating into Finnish, too, but as I'm not a native Finnish speaker and I live in Finland, that's not likely to happen any time soon :D -Yupik (talk) 14:47, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
On Wikipedia though, I oftentimes translate into Finnish and of course Northern Sámi. I've also done a couple articles into Spanish and Italian, which was fun as I haven't translated into those languages for a couple of years now. -Yupik (talk) 14:48, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

I've nominated the redirect for deletion, as I feel it's misnamed at best. It should only be on USER talk pages. At the moment, my Internet connection is not much better than dialup, so I can't research the proper name for you. Possibly Usertalkpageheader? — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 16:04, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

OK, moved. Kubek15 (Sign!) (Contribs) (UBX) 13:37, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Userfication

I note your claim in the edit summary of this move that "normal users can't move to someone's sandbox without permission". Could you please point me to the bit of the rule book that lays down this rule. In any case I am an admin. But if I had seen a normal user doing this move, I would have accepted it as a sensible thing to do.

Transwikification to the Tamil wiki was the correct thing to do with the article, but since I am not familiar with the process, I simply userfied. Also, as I said in User talk:Thamizan, there was nothing preventing them from posting it to the Tamil wiki themselves. -- RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 14:27, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

I haven't noticed you're admin. But, where is that article now? Kubek15 (Sign!) (Contribs) (UBX) 14:36, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

User:Thamizan/sandbox. OK? -- RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 14:46, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Alexei06

I have explained the reasons for my PROD of Afonsos.vandals on his talk page, by giving pointers to the relevant guidelines in the Spanish Wikipedia; but wouldn't he be happier there? He can't really expect to make much useful contribution here if he doesn't speak the language. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 13:04, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Yes, he would be happier on Spanish Wikipedia. And what about it? Kubek15 (Sign!) (Contribs) (UBX) 13:10, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

User:Go for it

I believe you meant well here. However, please note that it is most certainly not vandalism to blank one's own userpage. Please be a little more cautious in reverting and labelling edits as vandalism. Dorftrottel (taunt) 19:01, March 3, 2008

Sorry, I haven't noticed that this userpage was blanked by Go for it user... Kubek15 (Sign!) (Contribs) (UBX) 14:02, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Bah

You want them back, I'll put them in your userspace, you can translate them there, and when they're ready you can move them back into articlespace.

Sound good? DS (talk) 15:40, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

OK, please put it into User:Kubek15/to-translate. Kubek15 (Sign!) (Contribs) (UBX) 18:03, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Done. DS (talk) 19:09, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Just wanted to let you know that these articles are the subject of a conversation at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2008 March 5#Traganje za rentom. You may want to list them at WP:PNT even if they are in user space to see if any of the volunteers there may be able to help. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:43, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion for Afonsos vandals- please translate for your adoptee

A tag has been placed on Afonsos vandals, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

the article is not in english

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. AlmightyClam 16:14, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

I replaced the speedy deletion template with a deletion one so you'd have time to translate for Alexei06. Sorry for the inconvinience of this. AlmightyClam 16:24, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

I disagreed with your use of the speady tag, as there was notability claimed; just not sufficient, which is why I prodded it. If someone takes off the prod I'll immediately take to AFD. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 16:59, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Template:The_Guestbook_Barnstar has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. — Enric Naval (talk) 12:41, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for deleting your banstar, but I had to do it because I think it really hurted wikipedia goals in certain ways. I assure you that it's nothing personal. --Enric Naval (talk) 13:16, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
I also put the userfied copy under speedy deletion, since it was deleted for going against wikipedia goals --Enric Naval (talk) 03:49, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for translating this page. BlueValour (talk) 22:12, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, it's restored as suggested Jimfbleak (talk) 14:22, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

copyvio

I put the db-copyvio template on your to translate page. Copyright does not allow to have this page there. Copyright also does not allow to post a translation at Wikipedia, this would be a derivative work. So don't bother translating, unless you can convince the gropup to put a GNU documentation licence on their webpage.  Andreas  (T) 18:30, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Writer Barnstar

Great one but perhaps The Writer's Barnstar? --ROGER DAVIES talk 09:26, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

You should split the writer's barnstar into two different barnstars. One for articles about books, and another one for number of edits. Just look at all the other barnstars on Wikipedia:Other_awards. They *all* just reward *one* behaviour. I'm sure that some more experienced editor can tell you why this is this way. I'm sure that there is a good reason and that you should split the barnstar. I don't think that the barnstar loses any value for the split and I think it will actually improve --Enric Naval (talk) 17:20, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

re: Hej! Pomożesz? / Hi! Can you help?

Chyba mogę pisać po polsku? W angielskim artykule o Milionerach poprawiłem jedynie błąd gramatyczny i jedną datę. Pz-Poland (talk) 09:48, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

SusananA. Herrera Quezada article

Good translation. I'd like to make a few clarifications though, to make the english seem a little less "translated." Do you have a copy of the original in spanish? That would make keeping the original meaning much easier. Thanks! Lortay (talk) 05:08, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
