Translations

When you're translating pages from other language's wikis, it'd be helpful to also put links back to the page your translating from (something of the form [[de:Name of Page]]). -Mairi 30 June 2005 01:18 (UTC)

Titles

The titles for many of your State Leader articles are ambiguous. I.E. State Leaders in 42. 42 what? The dates need to be pre-empted with AD or suffixed with AD for clarity.Vanessa kelly 00:50, 28 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

History

Stop removing the byzantines! Bo 18:35, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just moving them to the Middle East section - other state leader pages before 1000 have them here.

The Byzantines where in Asia, Europe, and the Middle east at this time. I have no problem with you ADDING them to a middle east section, but their holdings where not just in the middle east. Removing them from Europe implies that they where not their. Bo 18:41, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're at it again. PLEASE STOP removing the Byzantines from Europe. Bo 20:42, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Roman Emperors are not listed separately in three continents, and Russian Tsars are not listed in Europe AND Asia. Queen Victoria is not listed in 5 continents!

What I'm doing is entirely consistent with the rest of the state leader pages - feel free to start a discussion on the talk page for this project. Kisch

Good idea! Where do I find the talk page for the project? Bo 13:09, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Malamir

Malamir is a city in Iran, not only a Bulgarian tsar (because the proto-Bulgarians were indo-european people, not turks) - YOU DELETED THE ARTICLE OF THAT TOWN OMG!!

Wasn't Me! I created the article Malamir of Bulgaria - somebody else, quite a bit later, changed the article for Malamir in Iran to redirect to that. Kisch 16:18, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Yaqub ibn Killis

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Yaqub ibn Killis, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Yaqub ibn Killis seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Yaqub ibn Killis, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. AfD nomination of Brad Friedman

I have nominated Brad Friedman, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brad Friedman. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. THF (talk) 23:30, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Fejedelem

The article Fejedelem has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Might be suitable for Wiktionary definition, but no references raises doubt regarding reliablity. Note; article templated unreferenced since September 2006.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Kisch! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Armstrong Hot 5

Hi. Thanks for your edits! I do have to take issue with what seems to me to be at least a debatable matter of opinion I think you added to the Hot 5 article. I've detailed my concern at Talk:Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five; please respond there if you wish to discuss. Thanks again. Cheers and keep listing to those good records :-) -- Infrogmation (talk) 04:59, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In List of state leaders in 335, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Li Qi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, Kisch. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Waiting For The Robert E. Lee, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Waiting For The Robert E. Lee to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, Ghostboy1997 (talk) 02:26, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Waiting For The Robert E. Lee

Hello Kisch,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Waiting For The Robert E. Lee for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can , but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ghostboy1997 (talk) 02:27, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
