Have you seen these?

Please see WP:VFD#How_to_list_pages_for_deletion for some advise on how to correctly nominate a page for deletion. You have performed step I correctly, by including the deletion notice (boiler plate message) in the article, but you need to fill the page name and reason in while performing Step II, and then transclude. --Mysidia (talk) 02:34, 22 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Omar Khadr's surrender

You changed the Omar Khadr article so that it now reads he pretended to surrender before throwing the grenade that mortally wounded Christopher Speer. This directly contradicts the only detailed account of the skirmish I have come across. Can I ask what you based your revision on? -- Geo Swan 05:59, 8 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

See the eighth last paragraph of The Good son:
"When the backup troops arrived and Pashtu translators began to negotiate with the men inside the compound, they responded with grenades and bullets. Sgt. Morris was wounded in one eye by a grenade and was evacuated by helicopter, but the battle went on for more than four hours, with the five men refusing to give up even as they were being bombed from overhead. When the shooting stopped, Sgt. Speer and four other Special Forces soldiers were ordered to clear the compound -- collect arms and intelligence. When Sgt. Speer and his fellow soldiers entered the bombed-out compound, they weren't expecting to find anyone alive and were caught off guard when Omar, who was wounded from the bombing, and hiding between two mud-brick buildings, threw a grenade at the passing soldiers."
Do you feel that should be described as "pretending to surrender". -- Geo Swan 06:17, 8 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Oh? What is that name of the book? Who is it by? Do you think you can recommend it? Did it devote more than a couple of paragraphs to the skirmish?
Do you want a couple more days to look for other reliable, accounts? -- Geo Swan 00:00, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The book is called Task force Dagger, if you like watching Fox news you will probably like it, if you don't get sucked in by all the neo-con media you probably won't. I may have to find something more tangible, give me a couple of days & I will have a look. :) (Khan 03:27, 9 November 2005 (UTC))[reply]

Hi Khanada.

I have added the Image:HMS Affray P421.jpg image to the page under 'fair use'. I haven't done anything about the white glare in the picture as I'm not sure if it's a photographic flaw or the submarine's diesels starting. I'll see what I can find out about the formatting problem. Regards, Ian Dunster 12:17, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

for the advice. (see how I don;t take it personally? That's how it's done here) I haven't proof read that in a long time. Next time, feel free to edit it yourself. Thanks again.Gator (talk) 13:59, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Of course I didn't take it personally, (see above), but when you come on my user page and say "badly written user page" to try and prove a point or somehow hurt me, it's clear you did take it personally. No use denying it. Have a good one.Gator (talk) 14:08, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I believe you now :). have a good one. (I love South Park too and Tivo every episode)Gator (talk) 14:22, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Coon cat

Rufio weighs somewhere between 15-16 pounds now. When you consider his weight, then the fact that he is 18 inches at the shoulder and then add his fur, I can see how people think their freakishly large. I'm used to it now but when is see our other cat next to him or when he kicks our Daschund's butt, I always have to giggle.Gator (talk) 14:32, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"trying to get a rise out of you for shits & giggles" is a quote from the Austin Powers movie which I sent to an Austin Powers fan who would understand the joke, it was not sent to you so I have no idea why you are replying to it or why you read other peoples messages. And I asked you to show why "this is not an isolated incident" but you ignored my request, because you just made it up & can not provide any proof. We dont accept this sort of behavior on Wikipedia, please think first & do your research before being so rude. What happened to assume good faith? (Khan)

Bronze Whaler

I have read that a few people have been killed by Bronze Whalers in Victoria(Australia), but your link seems to refute that, so I may have been wrong. (Khanada 02:56, 28 March 2006 (UTC))

If you read my link carefully you will realise that this is not a very exact science, it is VERY hard to confirm what spices it is that attacked or killed anyone, my reference link is the most authoritative source for shark attacks, but it is also very conservative, if there is a unknow killer that is most likely a Bronze Whaler my source will not state Bronze Whaler. When you changed the article last, I tried to search for a page that confirmed what you said, but all I found was lots of pages that said that a bronze whaler or some other species was a suspect, but not one sinlge article that confirmed that a Bronze Whaler was the killer, so then I asked for help and got this link. Duran Duran articles

Hey there, Khanada! I've been doing a bit of work on the {{Duran Duran}} singles, standardizing the layout of the articles and blueing the red links. For the moment, I've left behind a lot of empty headings, and I could use some help filling in the information. I'll be working on them too as I can, but could you browse through the articles when you get a chance, check my work, and add anything that seems to be missing?

No rush on this, but I'd be glad to have a little enthusiastic fan help. Thanks very much! — Catherine\talk 17:48, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya! Long time no see. Much as I love the song "New Religion", I don't think we should make Wikipedia articles for Duran Duran album tracks -- there's just not enough to say about most of them. However, there's an alternative: you can add whatever you'd like to http://duranduran.wikia.com/wiki/New_Religion on Wikia  :)
As for your other question, just find a quote in a Wikipedia:Reliable source -- a major music magazine or newspaper -- about how their live shows are received, and add it in! I can help you format the reference if you can provide a link to the quote. — Catherine\talk 16:40, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry mate i was a bit sleepy when i typed those comments. Having said that, I made an allegation of bias against the article, not you. Cheers {Truth 06 12:15, 14 November 2006 (UTC)}[reply]

USS Scorpion (SSN-589) citation

Hi Khanada, thanks for the information on a couple of books that don't say much (maybe anything?) about the Scorpion. Could you place those two references as actual footnote references in the article in place of the fact tag? I don't feel that I should put them there myself as I'm not sure I'll get them right. I left info on the talk page there on how to put the text into the article. Thanks! Loren.wilton (talk) 17:48, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
