July 2012 Study of authors of health-related Wikipedia pages
Dear Author/Keraunos
My name is Nuša Farič and I am a Health Psychology MSc student at University College London (UCL). I am currently running a quantitative study entitled Who edits health-related Wikipedia pages and why? I am interested in the editorial experience of people who edit health-related Wikipedia pages. I am interested to learn more about the authors of health-related pages on Wikipedia and what motivations they have for doing so. I am currently contacting the authors of randomly selected articles and I noticed that someone at this address not long ago edited an article on Contact Dermatitis. I would like to ask you a few questions about you and your experience of editing the above mentioned article. If you would like more information about the project, please visit my user page http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Hydra_Rain and if interested, please visit my Talk page or e-mail me on nusa.faric.11@ucl.ac.uk. Also, others interested in the study may contact me! If I do not hear back from you I will not contact this account again. Thank you very much in advance. Hydra Rain (talk) 20:27, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Cyan color box
FYI, since azure is halfway between blue and cyan, it could reasonably be classified as a shade of either, much in the way we have chartreuse in both yellow and green pbp 18:41, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
The claim of a first broadcast and its sponsor would reguire a secondary source by using an inline citation, don't you think? Would you like me to research that for you and see what RS is available for such a claim or do you believe this does not require a source?--Amadscientist (talk) 06:27, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
Strictly speaking, a “_ of black” would be a neutral gray (fill in the blank)
Hello!
Special:PermanentLink/497284807 An interesting thought, but you confused a “shade” with something else. Please, spent some time, learn the article tints and shades and its theoretical base. A user active in color articles may not demonstrate such gross ignorance. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 08:15, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
Meanwhile I found that your initial version of so named "shades" of black borrowed the problematic fragment from the synchronous version of Shades of white (unfortunately it is not apparent on ComparePages). Your edit summary Download article on shades of black, created by this edior over a period of two hours today hence is not accurate, because this is a derivative work. Also, "to download" means exactly the opposite. Wikipedia editors upload their revisions. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 11:43, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
Please, please stop using circular sourcing.
Like this - "99colors.net" appears to have copied much of its content from wikipedia. Please stop. bobrayner (talk) 23:27, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
Origins of X11 colors
Hi there Keraunos! I am quite interested in the topic of colors, and recently tried to find out the historical origins of the X11 color names, but I couldn't find definite answers anywhere. Quite a few articles mention that the list was formulated in 1987, and some digging revealed that several of these passages were added by you. So I thought you might have some knowledge you could share.
I also tried to search the Usenet archives for 1987 posts, using various combinations of filters (keywords, author:Robert Scheifler, etc.) but couldn't find anything relevant. Maybe you would know better what filters could be used to reveal interesting posts. Finally, I noticed two interesting passages in the archives of the talk page for Wikiproject Color: "The X11 color names were designed (...) by computer scientists making things up as they went along", by user:jacobolus, and "It is true the X11 colors were the work of mostly clueless grad students", by user:VMS Mosaic. Do you know anything about that, or should I contact them directly? --Waldir talk 19:14, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of colors: N–Z may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on .

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Katoptronophilia has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable and possibly non-existent sexual fetish. Zero hits on PubMed. Google finds Wikipedia mirrors and blog articles dating from after this article's creation in 2008.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -Crossroads- (talk) 15:47, 29 July 2019 (UTC)

A Dictionary of Color by Maerz and Paul
I noticed that you added A Dictionary of Color by Maerz and Paul in reference to the first recorded uses of Amaranth and Carmine as colors. However, this reference has since been used to justify that #D70040
is the hex code for Rich Carmine, #F19CBB
is the hex code for Amaranth pink, #AB274F
is the hex code for Amaranth purple, #9F2B68
is the hex code for Amaranth deep purple, and #DB2D43
is the hex code for Alizarin. I haven't been able to track down this book at my library, and it's not on Google Books or available on Amazon either. Looking at this recent edit, it seems plausible to me that vandals are simply copying the reference in order to make their changes difficult to invalidate. Based on your edits I assume you have access to a copy of it, so I'm hoping you can tell me whether any of these color swatches are actually taken from the Maerz and Paul reference.
