Hi
Just a courtesy note to say I undid a good faith edit of yours here [1]. I think you may have misunderstood the meaning of the sentence? See edit summary. --BozMo talk 21:11, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Request reason:
The IP address range that I was in when I tried to write just now is a range dedicated to a NordVPN proxy. In my opinion blocks of IP address ranges that are utilized by VPNs should not be blocked. I had to leave the VPN in order to post this request to be unblocked. Gavinayling (talk) 19:29, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Procedural decline: user was caught in a VPN block and is able to edit with proxy disabled. - The Bushranger One ping only 22:02, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Are you able to edit in general without using the VPN? Please see Wikipedia:Open proxies. - The Bushranger One ping only 21:14, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- Yes Gavinayling (talk) 21:17, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- Then that's what you need to do. Note from WP:PROXY:
Open or anonymizing proxies, including Tor, may be blocked from editing for any period at any time. While this may affect legitimate users, they are not the intended targets and may freely use proxies until those are blocked
(emphasis added). Once they are blocked, that's that for the proxy. - The Bushranger One ping only 22:02, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
