George W. Bush
I removed the link from that page because I felt that after reviewing the wiki that it was very biased. That's my view anyway.
Be Bold and put the link back in, if others remove it then you should go to the discussion page and give reasons to add it to the article. I won't remove it again.
Just take care to not edit war. This is very very important.
And, welcome to Wikipeida :) Regards, —-- That Guy, From That Show! (esperanza) 2006-05-15 02:56
Citing sources
See Wikipedia:Citing sources/example style for a few examples. On that page we are so far basically just inserting: <ref>{{cite web| url=http://urlofwebsite.com| title=Title of website| accessed=October 9, 2006}}</ref> after the information to be cited (that is, in-line with the text). If you do that it will automatically show up at the end and with a numbered footnote. So if I were citing CNN.com for some fact, here, I would do the following.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://cnn.com/article/etc|title=Title of that CNN article|accessed=October 9, 2006}}</ref> That should show up as a little footnote number here, and if you had a <references/> tag somewhere on the page you would see the actual citation. --Fastfission 21:18, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
The Ancient Apostolic Communion
The page on The Ancient Apostolic Communion is under my userpage because the original article was deleted for being non-notable. So in an effort to keep the article alive I moved it to my userpage where we are allowed to have such articles without fear of them being deleted. --Kf4bdy talk contribs 20:23, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi,
How are you?
I am proposing that the following article: Release Lillywhite Recordings Campaign be deleted. There is no proof that this campaign led to the recording of Busted Stuff, or was acknowledged by the DMB or RCA people. While the campaign was mentioned in Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly, I don't think that is grounds enough to have a separate article. Please comment on the [[Talk:Release Lillywhite Recordings Campaign|Talk page]]. Thanks. Milchama 17:39, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- I know nothing of this Lillywhite stuff, and therefore do not want to become involved in this kind of thing. Sorry, Falconus|Talk 18:18, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
"Launching" tags.
I've merged the three tags - {{launching}}, {{launching24}}, and {{launchingX}} into one template at Template:Launching ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs). The time can be changed using the variable "|time = X" where X is the period of time, with units. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 00:01, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- OK, thank you. --Falconus|Talk 00:09, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- The tag is currently in use on Space Shuttle, Space Shuttle program, STS-116 and Space Shuttle Discovery. It is also present on Minotaur rocket and I am about to add it to Ariane 5.
- When it goes, just add {{current spaceflight}} to the four pages (if I don't beat you to it), and add {{in space}} to the crew pages. Thanks, --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 00:30, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'll check when I get back, but I am going to try to see the space shuttle in flight, and I have homework to finish. If you (or someone else) hasn't done it by the time I get around to it, I'll put the tags in. Thanks, Falconus|Talk 00:35, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- Also, do you mind if I change the "in" to "within" in that template?--Falconus|Talk 01:07, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Wikimania in Atlanta!
Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!
P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :)Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 01:07, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
Re:Apex High School
I removed the cougar because it was irrelevant to the article. If it was a picture of the school's logo or mascot it would have been fine, but a random picture of a wild cougar has absolutly nothing to do with the school. Hopefully that clears it up, and if not tell me and I'll try to make it have more sense. Thanks --Mr.crabby (Talk) 22:37, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well, if you have a digital camera, you can always take pictures of the school and upload it onto Wikipedia. --Mr.crabby (Talk) 22:40, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. With all that being said, the article does look very good. You've done great job with it! --Mr.crabby (Talk) 22:43, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Falconus/Sandboxes/Sandbox
A tag has been placed on Falconus/Sandboxes/Sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per speedy deletion criterion G2.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 19:25, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. Did it myself once. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 19:28, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- Not really, but I think you have to put the code on a subpage or something. There are plenty of template gurus around here that can help you, though. They had to help me with the Wikipedia Intensive Care Unit templates. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 19:36, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- I am not a template guru, but I did respond with a suggestion on my talk page. I like to keep all of the comments together if possible. Royalbroil 23:56, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Speedy delete
On Image talk:Tiesto elements of life tour.jpg the only text is "hi. tiesto . i love you. i am from iran," but you said that there was no reason to delete the article. Since this looks like random nonsense to me, I am just curious why? I am not saying that the page shouldn't exist in the future, but for the time being it seems fairly pointless to me. Thanks, Falconusp t c 04:37, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- I know, but it is a talk page, not an article, and there really is no criteria that requires this comment to be removed. It is harmless, and useless, both. We make a point to not delete user comments on talk pages unless they cause disruption, violate WP:BLP, or otherwise fit criteria requiring removal. JERRY talk contribs 04:40, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

- Yes, I was referring to that link. Web of Trust is what I use for my browser, and it has served me fairly well. I'm going to unbold my comment, as it seems a little distracting now that the link has been removed. Falconusp t c 18:47, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- The link that I posted [1] is what Web of Trust has to say about the website, if you are interested. Unfortunately it doesn't specify which malware to check for. Given that you have scanners, I suspect that you are probably alright if you didn't download anything. Falconusp t c 18:54, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- I didn't download anything (unless the site did it behind the scenes), all I did was go to that website. Not being content to attach malware to porn sites, the purveyors of this stuff are apparently now doing it on seemingly-innocuous sites. >:( ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 20:03, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Tom - reference desks
Yes I know - I've mentioned it at the reference desk talk page - I'm not an admin so I can't take any action myself.94.72.235.30 (talk) 23:54, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'm not an admin either... These users can be annoying, but what can we do? As for requesting that he be blocked, you may want to go through Wikipedia:Administrator_intervention_against_vandalism - I don't think the reference desk talk page is the most effective place for it. I was going to drop a couple of warnings on his user page, but recommending him for a block renders that pointless. Falconusp t c 00:01, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- Well I think an admin should look at what he's actually doing. But I don't think there's any great rush. Maybe a little time will allow a cool down. There are some admins who read the reference desk talk page so it some action should be taken eventually.94.72.235.30 (talk) 00:07, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- I agree that an admin needs to look at it, but you did pretty much imply that you've nominated him to be blocked... I'll leave it up to you, but I recommend that you follow through with your threat. Besides, he was asking for it. Falconusp t c 00:09, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, I've left a message on User_talk:Runningonbrains , admins are like watched pots - they take longer to act the more you want them too, and often they don't do what you expect.
- Tom12350 hasn't got into a revert war on the refdesk (where I deleted his question), or followed up the swearing thing - so it could have been a one off outburst. I still think he could take the people who answer questions on the reference desk a bit more seriously (ie not ask stupid or flame inciting questions) - but that message can come later.94.72.235.30 (talk) 00:17, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

Stable version
Thanks for the stable version template on Talk:Cogan House Covered Bridge. I have done some clean up work on the article since and then updated the template's stable version. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 19:53, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- Correct me if I'm wrong, Falconus, it looks like you started adding a big "stable version" template to some article talk pages yesterday. We used to identify "stable versions" for WP:1.0, an offline version of WP ... perhaps you're involved with that work, but we typically either didn't mention that information on Wikipedia, or added the version to one of the banners that already existed; your banner is huge, and displaces whatever banner was at the top of the page. The very top of the talk page is important "real estate", generally reflecting whatever Wikipedians consider most important, and any one person's preference for any particular version of the page probably isn't the most important thing we can say about an article. Has there been discussion on this yet? - Dank (push to talk) 20:32, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- As left on Dank's talk page: There has been a small discussion at the Village Pump, and we decided to let it "grow organically". I figure that the best way to do that is put it in enough places that people see it - as it would be doomed to failure if nobody knows about it. I apologize if it's getting in your way; is there another place on the talk page which you would prefer? On the template documentation, as well as the Village Pump discussion, the reasons for the template are discussed - essentially it is to combat what has been identified as a problem with article rot, without being so intrusive as to lock pages, etc. Falconusp t c 20:48, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- I did notice with Cogan House Covered Bridge that the "stable version" originally linked to had two dead links (which I repaired). So it might help to ask on the article's talk page first... Ruhrfisch ><>°° 21:49, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, I left a note on all the talk pages that I have tagged - they can decide in each case if they feel that it was an inappropriate addition. I also will probably wait a few days before tagging any more, partly because I think that I need to see what the general reaction will be. Falconusp t c 23:03, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- Any reactions so far? If you're comfortable with your banner going underneath the FA or GA banner and underneath any wikiproject banners, then I don't have an opinion one way or the other. Generally, the review processes pick up a number of problems in any article ... unclear or incomprehensible language, not-great sources, language that follows the sources too closely or not closely enough, too much attention to trivial things or not enough attention to important things, etc. ... so for most article reviewers, "stable" doesn't mean a lot (other than maybe "not recently vandalized"), but YMMV. If you'd rather add your information to the FA or GA banner under "article milestones", I don't know the proper format for that, and we'd want to ask first at WT:GAN and WT:FAC whether people mind altering those banners. - Dank (push to talk) 16:15, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks; I will take care to put it under the FA banner for the time being. No negative reactions, one person thought I was canvassing, and a couple of positive reactions. Nothing major; mostly nobody seems to care to comment one way or the other, if they've noticed. There have been a couple of people that have used it, and notably nobody who has removed it. It's not my banner; I was just trying to promote it. Rich Farmbrough is the one that deserves the credit in this. Adding the information to an existing banner is something I had not already thought about, but I'm content for the moment with just seeing what happens at this point. Falconusp t c 17:34, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, I'm fine with not using "article milestones". It's possible that others will object to it as a separate template at some point, at which point you might want to suggest the "article milestones" route, but per WP:BEANS, I won't bring that up at Template talk:Stable version. I'll talk about the other point over at the template talk page. - Dank (push to talk) 17:50, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

You on French WP
Bonjour. I took a look at your pages on the French WP. May I point out some small errors? In French message is masculine. The word chose is feminine, but quelque chose is masculine. Therefore, no "e" at the end of clair. Amicalement, AldoSyrt (talk) 13:03, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Sctechlaw, Thanks for the thought. Yeah, I wasn't trying to translate anything; I just saw 89's request, and offered to help out. That being said, while I appreciate the effort, Google Translate is pretty well-known in most French speaking countries, and I would imagine that 89 knows how to use it; it's probably not necessary to go through the trouble of pasting the entire translated article on a person's user page ;-). The trouble with Google Translate is simply that it does not get it all right, and sometimes a human speaker of the language is required to interpret it, which is probably why 89 asked instead of simply plugging it in him/herself.
