Abu Shaeid moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Abu Shaeid, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, FNH004

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Joseywales1961, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Amir Hakim Bappy, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  2. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Joseywales1961}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

Notice

The article Sohel Rana (footballer, born 1991) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Footballer who fails GNG and NFOOTY

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Moving pages to Draft space

Hello, FNH004,

It is not appropriate to move pages that have been tagged for an AFD discussion to Draft space. Doing so will not end the deletion discussion and these moves will be reverted.

Do not move pages from Draft space into main space until you believe they are ready and can survive a deletion discussion. One way to determine this is to submit your drafts for AFC review, AFC reviewers can tell you whether or not your draft is in good enough shape to avoid speedy deletion or being tagged for AFD. Once a page has been deleted through an AFD discussion, it can not be recreated so it is best to make sure your drafts meet Wikipedia standards before moving them into the main space of the project.

If you have questions about your articles and Wikipedia's deletion processes, please bring them to the Teahouse. Liz Read! Talk! 01:41, 10 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:05, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello FNH004! Your additions to Mohammed Sujan have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:32, 18 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding BFF U18 Football League

Hello! I saw you changed the name of BFF U-18 Football Tournament to league. But round-robin league and cup tournament is whole different thing.

The tournament is started from 2013-14 and organised with same format till 2019. The current league isn’t the updated or changed version of the tournament, rather it's a fully different competition which will replace the tournament.

So you shouldn’t merge the both competitions. I hope you understand and change your edits. Also, we've to create a different article for the u16 league. If you don't bring changes, then I've do it later and undo your edits.

Speedy deletion nomination of Monarch Mart Padma

Hello FNH004,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Monarch Mart Padma for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want Monarch Mart Padma to be deleted, you can , but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

A tag has been placed on Monaem Khan Raju requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Monaem Khan Raju. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Help

You're contributing tremendously, in articles related to Bangladeshi and Indian football here. Bro, I need your little help: is there any single Indian player in Bangladeshi club since Rajib Ghosh's contract with Mohammedan Sporting Dhaka in 2009–10? I think there are Indian players in lower division leagues of Bangladesh from 2010 to till date! Unearthed I think. If you help me letting me know about some of the names, I'll be overwhelmed 😇!

Ok, I will let you know immediately if I find any news regarding this.FNH004 (talk) 18:24, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I was able to find one player so far, Fiaz Alam [1]. If i find any more I let you know. Also check 2013–14 Bangladesh Football Premier League apparently there was another Indian playing for Uttar Baridhara Club, but I cant find anything about him.FNH004 (talk) 18:35, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Keisuke Goto moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Keisuke Goto, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) WP:NFOOTY is no longer a valid SNG, so GNG must be met. It needs several refs from independent, reliable, secondary sources to pass WP:GNG. It should have at least 3 of those. Please remember that routine sports coverage does not satisfy GNG, and that interviews, being primary sources, do not go to notability either. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Differences between Scores and Result

Hey, I've seen you struggling to understand the differences between scores and result. International Scores and Results both aren't the same. Score means how many goals he have been scored and the result means the actual goals total achieved by the team. You can check it here: https://wikidiff.com/score/result

If you already knew that then why you just continuously reverting the fake information on Tariq Kazi, Morsalin and Rakib Hossain? do you understand football or what? if you don't understand football then you should leave it. Wikipedia should be informative with valid. Thanks. Atiqul Islam Sakib (talk) 05:22, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of CSD tag from FC Brahmanbaria

Hi FNH004, hope this finds you well. I removed your CSD tag from FC Brahmanbaria. To have an article at that location you'd be best drafting an article at Draft:FC Brahmanbaria and using {{db-move|Draft:FC Brahmanbaria|YOUR REASON FOR MOVE on the page FC Brahmanbaria. You can also try to nominate the redirect for deletion at WP:Redirects for discussion using WP:REDYES as your rationale, but if you're going to have a draft article ready within the next 7 days, it would probably be faster to draft and then use the db-move tag as outlined above. Feel free to ping me with any question. Cheers! TartarTorte 14:21, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Match goals

Hi, hope you are doing well, all I can say is that I loved your contributions on articles covering South Asian football, and your contributions in Pakistan articles, as you can see it was a whole mess with much of information missing. I am yet to finish the whole revamp and add as much information as you did in Bangladesh articles I'm impressed by that. I just saw you added Kabir Ahmed along with Abdul Ghafoor which was already there scoring the goals in the match against Israel in the 1960 Asian Cup qualifiers in the Pakistan national football team results page. Can you provide a source for that because the only thing I could find here states someone by the name "Amar" and Faqir Hussain scoring the goals.

Also if you have the time and more information about the stats of the matches in the page please feel welcome to contribute as much in the Pakistan related articles, your countributions are very helpful here. Cheers and thank you very much Throwawayjamal047 (talk) 17:24, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I found the info about Kabir's goal against Israel in a Book. However, I did not add Ghafoor in the scorer list, it was done beforehand by someone else. FNH004 (talk) 17:34, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I just found the report of the match with all the lineups, unfortunately with the goals missing on the Pakistan side. According to RSSSF this was the Line-up: Mohd Siddique - Irshad Mohammed, Abid Hussain, Abdul Ghafoor, Abdul Qayum Khan Changezi - Kabir Ahmed, Masoodul Hassan, Abdullah - Fakir Hussain, Mohd Oomer, Abdullah Yusuf. Kabir was indeed present in the midfield, but before your replacement it stated Omar as one of the scorers, which is of the forwards in the lining, and also bears resemblance with the name in the 11vs11 report. Throwawayjamal047 (talk) 23:00, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My bad, yes the goals are showing in the end, Mohammad Omer scoring in the 49th minute and Abdul Ghafoor scoring in the 57th minute, so the details were accurate before. Throwawayjamal047 (talk) 23:26, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled

Hi FNH004, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! – Joe (talk) 10:13, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;

Well im not new to wikipedia so, i dont understand why your acting like an admin and policing me around. I certainly did not do anything wrong while editing those pages (if so bring it up to an admin and have me blocked or sth) and Id like it if you'd stop bothering me. Thanks. FNH004 (talk) 14:13, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So if you're not new here, could you maybe explain why you're adding unreliable sources like forum and a WP:RSSELF to contentious topics? And no I don't want you to get blocked. You're a valuable editor here. I just need to let you know that what you're doing isn't appropriate!Saqib (talk I contribs) 14:22, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Who said it was unreliable other than you? First, consult with an admin and if he/she agrees with you, delete them all you want I could not care less tbh. You can't be making decisions on Wikipedia on your own without dispute. The site has been used to source numerous articles which were accepted after review, so I don't understand how all of a sudden you deem it unreliable. I've also noticed that you have been removing sources constantly from articles without consulting an admin or any higher authority on Wiki. I suggest you stop policing football articles since you have very little knowledge about them. FNH004 (talk) 14:32, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're right. Football is not my thing and that I've very little knowledge about them but that's not what's important here. We're talking about whether a source is reliable or not, but it seems like you might not be aware of WP:RSSELF which clearly states Internet forums are all examples of self-published media. and that Never use self-published sources as independent sources about other living people, even if the author is an expert. Use WP:COMMONSENSE!Saqib (talk I contribs) 14:46, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How about you WP:STFU and get an admins approval to remove sources from the specific site. I've noticed you're currently amidst discussion, so until it reaches conclusion you should refrain from removing sources, since so far, from most reviewers, the cite has been considered acceptable. FNH004 (talk) 14:52, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As an admin I'm telling you to not add blogs to articles/list/pages for the use of referencing as they arent considered reliable for this matter. As an admin I'm also telling you to watch your language or youll be on the end of a short sharp block Amortias (T)(C) 15:31, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

none of them were blogs btw please just discuss here and stop bothering me FNH004 (talk) 15:34, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No. Another admin here - stop using blogs, and also the next time you tell someone to "STFU" or similar you'll be blocked indefinitely. If you want to continue contributing here, follow the rules or be blocked. Black Kite (talk) 18:00, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I understand, but what "blogs"? None of the sources I used were blogs. According to their consensus, the sources might be unreliable, but they are not blogs. FNH004 (talk) 18:13, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And also what do you mean by "No"?? FNH004 (talk) 18:15, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Black Kite and Amortias: Please note the namecalling in edit summary Kazi Salahuddin (Diff 1226419883)Saqib (talk I contribs) 15:36, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's somehow an insult? OMFG 0 freedom of speech on this site cant say anything. Anyhow, if that somehow offended you I do apologise. FNH004 (talk) 16:03, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Black Kite and Amortias: Could you please communicate the said user to just stop vandalising pages. It seems it's not only me or FNH004 who are having problems with him, so maybe he needs to rectify himself as he has done the same mistake with someone else before. I will let him do whatever it pleases him if he has a problem with a certain source and just move on and sort all that mess he created out if he deems it as a "blog" or whatever, but just had a look at this and now I am seeing RSSSF (have a look at the intro of the page for information about what it is) is "unacceptable source". Throwawayjamal047 (talk) 18:28, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Throwawayjamal047, Thanks for highlighting that, it was a mistake on my part. I'm sure that no other reliable source was deleted. If there was, please provide the diff.Saqib (talk I contribs) 18:35, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Slow down

Hey, FNH004, Please, slow down. I agree with @Saqib and other admins above that your behavior is clearly immature. Name-calling isn't going to get you anywhere. Your immaturity in the RSN thread is even more concerning. Saqib highlighted legitimate concerns with the source in question, and what was your response? Name calling in a diff, like a 4 year old. This is highly unacceptable for an editor with over 20!K edits to their name, and a potential violation of WP:NPA. I am genuinely mad at your behavior, I would say something worse, but NPA prevents me from doing that. (You can construct a sentence yourself with the f and s words.) Please be careful, I can tell that you are one nanometer away from a block. thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 23:42, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Damn relax my boi, I'm done arguing with that guy, its been two or three days since and I've forgotten about him. I only got mad because he started removing content without consulting an admin or coming to a unanimous decision first and I understand that I got a little too emotional (my bad). Also, he has a knack for accusing people without proof, which naturally can piss anyone off. Anyways, I'm done with that dispute so dw. FNH004 (talk) 10:28, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You are a net positive for the project and have written some really important articles. There is only one active editor on Bangladeshi sports articles, and that is you. Remember to keep calm and take a break if things become too heated. I have seen too many good editors catch bans for silly things. Vinegarymass911 (talk) 22:34, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sheikh Shaheb Ali

After carefully examining the squads for the 1960 and 1962 editions of the Merdeka Cup where Pakistan participated, it is very possible that this picture [2] belongs to the 1960 edition instead of 1962 where the team finished finalist, as Qayyum Changezi is present there and he wasn't participating in 1962. This article also affirms the pic belong to 1960, while here it says it is the finalist team in 1962. Just asking, is the man standing at the left of the Malayan PM Sheikh Saheb Ali who coached in 1960. Looks like him but not sure. If so then it will clear my confusion.

1960 squad: https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/viewer/bl/0003221/19600802/158/0008

1962: https://britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/viewer/bl/0003221/19620906/176/0013 Throwawayjamal047 (talk) 20:31, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That's not Shaheb Ali, but the man standing next to Changezi is most likely Kabir Ahmed who participated in the 1960 edition, so im guessing this pic is from 1960. FNH004 (talk) 06:03, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What about this pic. I have a strong feeling it is the same competition in 1960 from the few players I identified so far. Throwawayjamal047 (talk) 23:14, 24 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think so as well i can see Shaheb Ali standing ninth from the left and i think thats Kabir sitting first from the right FNH004 (talk) 06:16, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This pic is 100% from the 1960 edition. I have a book which confirms it. FNH004 (talk) 06:34, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thanks Throwawayjamal047 (talk) 14:40, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Can you confirm the goalkeeper here is Balai Dey. In this source it states the name of every player but obviously a bit low resolution so I can't see properly but I think his first name is written there. JayFT047 (talk) 18:28, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Most probably is since he was in the squad during Pakistan's China tour. He appears to be the same person as in this picture, which is definitely him. FNH004 (talk) 18:37, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

1985 South Asian Games

Thanks for updating the goalscorers at the Football at the 1985 South Asian Games article. Regarding the match on 22 December 1985, could you confirm Shaukat Mufti scored a goal. Agha Saeed scored two goals 100%, but I have doubts on the other. JayFT047 (talk) 00:07, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I got the info on him scoring against Bangladesh and Nepal from here. Can you provide me with the source from where you learned that he scored against Maldives as well. I'll try searching from other places in the meantime. FNH004 (talk) 14:09, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This and this were the sources for the two goals against Maldives for Agha Saeed. Here is a snippet pic from Times of India also saying he scored twice against Maldives, with another pic of Shaukat Mufti below stating he "scored the second goal for Pakistan". However over here it says Mufti scored against Bangladesh and Nepal, just like you found out, but no mention of him scoring against Maldives.
That's why I'm a bit confused, either he did score against Maldives or the Times of India snippet was from the bronze medal match against Nepal stating Saeed scored twice in the earlier match. JayFT047 (talk) 14:38, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Pakistan B

Could you please have a look at the Pakistan national football B team article I just created. Basically the RSSSF source of the Quaid-e-Azam International Cup state clearly that the Pakistan Red and White of the 1976, 1985 and the 1986 editions is the B team, while in the 1982 edition the Pakistan Blue team is stated as the "youth team". And the 1987 is a mess with incomplete data where 4 Pakistani teams competed (Pakistan Green, White, Blue and Yellow) with no conclusion in RSSSF which team was which. In the 1993 SAARC Gold Cup, the Pakistan White team which was clearly staten as the B team in Quaid Cup is stated as " Pakistan Junior team" instead in the RSSSF source there. Dont know if to indicate those as the B team or the under-20/youth team.

Nonetheless for now I have indicated the 1982 and 1993 teams as the B team as many B teams consisted of youth international players. Would like to have your input here. JayFT047 (talk) 03:41, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Couldnt find anytg in the 1987 tournament, since Bangladesh also sent a B team "BFF XI" but im guessing Pakistan White to be the senior team. FNH004 (talk) 09:46, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
