License tagging for Image:Fevzi uzmen bayrak gunduz.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Fevzi uzmen bayrak gunduz.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:09, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

Tabi, hiç sorun degil - istedigin yere mesaj birakabilirsin.
Istedigin zaman bana not birakabilirsin. Bu arada {{WikiProject Turkey}} kodunu kullanici sayfana koyarsan diger kullanicilarin (Turk veya Turk olmayan) sana ulasmasi daha kolay olur. ciao! Baristarim 05:36, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Turkalgeria.JPG
Thank you for uploading Image:Turkalgeria.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 20:03, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

List of largest flags
I wrote how it is- the TRNC has a flag, and until the Cypriot issue is resolved, they are wrong for removing it and calling it not a flag. Thanks for notifying me. Monsieurdl mon talk-mon contribs 21:56, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- I will look into the anonymous reverts at List of largest flags. In the meantime, I would suggest posting a friendly notice at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Heraldry and vexillology. The folks at that project have an interest in such things and would likely be good allies in defending the sourced information in the list. Regards, Aramgar (talk) 22:30, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Some small problems on List of largest flags

Proposed deletion of List of largest flags
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of largest flags, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Harry the Dog WOOF 16:25, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of List of largest flags
I have nominated List of largest flags, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of largest flags. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Canvassing
Merhaba. Unfortunately, your recent posts on talk pages in regards to the current AfD, is a violation of Wikipedia:Canvassing. I'm going to ask that you don't do this again, because it can disrupt the voting process on this sort of thing. If you read the guideline I think you will understand. Thanks. Khoikhoi 02:19, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- I have created a CheckUser report at Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Aee1980. The case of sockpuppetry seems fairly obvious. In fact, I think that Aee1980 may be a sockpuppet of someone else since his username was clearly created to copy yours. I understand your intentions were simply to seek the support of fellow Wikipedians, but it's more complicated than that. First off, please stop leaving these messages on other people's talk pages so I can explain it to you. It is in fact a blockable offense. Khoikhoi 10:27, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks for understanding. I was going to explain to you that it is inappropriate because you posted the same message to about 30+ users. This would cause the AfD to get out of hand, it would practically be chaos. Look at the table on the policy page: most of the criteria of what you did falls under "disruptive canvassing": Mass posting, partisan audience, etc. I understand why you wanted to contact all the Turkish users - in hopes that they would all come and vote "keep". However, this is not the way to save your article. AfDs in fact are not a competition of who can get the most votes. That's why the name was changed a long time ago from "votes for deletion" to "articles for discussion." We're supposed to be discussing the matter instead of trying to get votes in. This is why you shouldn't mass-spam across these talk pages. Perhaps you would be willing to compromise on the state of the article? How about merging it into a larger page? It's important to have an open mind with this sort of thing. Please let me know what you think. Khoikhoi 10:52, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- I could see it being merged into Flag or another related article. By the way, the Shape and design section of the article states that the largest flag in the world is the flag of Israel at Bar Yehuda Airfield. You might want to correct this or leave a comment on the talk page. I did not mean to delete your personal comments - please let me know where they were and I will restore them. Khoikhoi 11:08, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Your new messages were basically a link to your original message (located at User talk:Izmir lee). In it, you said, "Hi, an article, List of largest flags, containing the Northern Cyprus Flag on its top, was nominated for deletion, for reasons that are both obvious, and some others that are pretty dubious..." The fact that you pointed out that the Northern Cyprus flag is at the top seems to me that you're using it as a basis to convince them why the article should be kept (from the policy: messages that are written to influence the outcome rather than to improve the quality of a discussion compromise the consensus building process and are generally considered disruptive) It's usually not a good idea when you canvass exclusively one group or another, regardless who they are. Now, I wasn't sure how many users you were planning on contacting, which is why I reverted you. The most specific part of the article relevant to this discussion is at Wikipedia:Canvassing#Votestacking:
Votestacking is an attempt to sway consensus by selectively notifying editors who have or are thought to have a predetermined point of view or opinion (which may be determined, among other ways, from a userpage notice, such as a userbox, or from user categorization), and thus encouraging them to participate in the discussion.
- Well, first off, I could make a comment at the AfD saying why I think it should be merged. Then you can add your input there as well. Khoikhoi 11:38, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- BTW, here is your result: Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Aee1980. Khoikhoi 11:47, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- No problem! Well, CheckUser conpares the IPs of the two users, so it's based on that. When the result is "unrelated", it can even be likely that they are in different countries. Proxy could be a possibility. Perhaps Bunzo1980 is the same individual as 90.199.200.236 (talk · contribs) and 90.208.134.182 (talk · contribs). I'm not sure, but what I am sure about is that I have to go now. Talk to you later. Khoikhoi 12:09, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
AfD appears to have been closed. BTW, please let me know when you find those reliable sources that I mentioned at Talk:Flag (yes, they can be in Turkish as well). Khoikhoi 04:17, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- It looks like it has been reverted (and btw Barış has not edited since November 2007). As for the source, I don't mean to be picky but usually personal websites like tripod domains aren't considered the most reliable. I'm just saying that people that revert you will have an argument to do so unless your sources are scholarly. I'm talking about official measurements from works about flags, done by professionals, etc. You see what I'm saying? Khoikhoi 02:07, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 10:12, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Your note
Merhaba, Eae1983. I'm sorry not to get back to you sooner - my life's been pretty busy lately. :) Thank you for your nice note. I see that Aee1980 has been blocked as the sockpuppet of a banned user. I was not 100 % certain that Bunzo1980 was the same person -- although I can certainly see why it seemed likely -- and it seems that the checkuser indicates that they are indeed not the same. That said, it is certainly possible that he (or she) is someone's sockpuppet, as they definitely seem to have a certain knowledge of past disputes. Anyway... I'd prefer not to get involved with the flag article. While I appreciate your good intentions, it's my experience that flags and flag articles cause a lot of argument and edit-warring. For me, names are more important. Also, the situation in Northern Cyprus seems extremely complex: I have never been there and don't currently feel qualified to comment. I hope you understand. :) İyi akşamlar (my time), Kafka Liz (talk) 23:34, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

About Thuluth Calligraphy
It seems that the commentator at Wikipedia does not do calligraphy. When you are a calligrapher you may understand by having the feeling. Or maybe it is hard to believe that the Greek alphabet is about arabian terms of daily usage like Alef, Beyt and Gamal. In other words I draw your attention to the fact that Thuluth may have been developed during the Ottoman era but it is a development of the initial "Naskhi". The Naskhi is the cursive hand writing of Arabic because the kufic is not easy to handle. So who was the initiator of the Naskhi? Is it Othman Bin Affan? I refer you the Omariyah Decree when Omar the second Caliph issued the Jerusalem Decreeeto protect non muslim minorities. That Decree was written in Naskhi. I do not agree with the opinion saying that the Othmanic Quran writing is an Ottoman style. Respectfully, Noureddine (talk) 14:06, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
Support for deleting the Category:Anti-Armenianism
Will you support my arguement for the deletion of the Category:Anti-Armenianism that I put forward on May 1, 2009?
It is very subjective and even racist as it puts every person who questions the Armenian genocide, such as prominent academicians, who are not racist or personally against Armenian people or Armenia as an entity, along with assasins and militants.
Thank you

Hi. I was wondering if you'd be interested in setting up Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Turkey), based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). Now it's not a contest in itself, it's designed to motivate people to inspire others to improve content and build something which demonstrates the hard work going into the country which is visible. The focus is more on quality improvements but new articles are welcome too. Eventually a Turkish National Contest could be created to fuel it, like Wikipedia:Awaken the Dragon, in which contestants can choose to keep the Amazon vouchers themselves to buy their own books for more articles or put them into book fund to help editors further improve Turkish-related topics by giving them the books they want. It will begin though as purely an improvement drive. If interested, or you think anybody else might be interested, alert them and sign up on the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Turkey talk page at the bottom. Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 14:12, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:54, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
