Well, I check in Miss Earth Singapore fanpage in facebook, and Miss Singapore Earth winner should be on the lists of Miss Earth 2011 delegates. I felt strange because Miss Singapore Earth coronation night in July 22, but today is July 24, I didn't saw Miss Earth Singapore name in the candidate lists. But if the source didn't comply with the policies, its okay then, just remove it. DeshintaChandra (talk) 10:01, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- I indeed think that the sourcing did not comply with the policies and guidelines, but for the rest the addition seems fine. I would try to find independent sourcing (i.e., sourcing that is not connected to the subject) for this, there must be news items out there about this. --Dirk Beetstra T C 22:06, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
Help me
Sorry, I wanna aks something that how do I make template, like the Miss Universe template ? Because I want to make a template for Miss Asia Pacific World.I'll be waiting for the answers, thanks. Shearonink (talk) 17:06, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
- You should probably take a look at Help:A quick guide to templates and Wikipedia:TEMPLATE. I think creating a template is a little too complicated to try to explain on a user talkpage. Hope that helps, Shearonink (talk) 17:06, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
Okay, thanks for your help :) DeshintaChandra (talk) 08:17, 9 October 2011 (UTC)

Request reason:
I'm not a sock puppet, please see the details in my user page okay. And sorry if I did anything wrong. My old account was blocked because my old account was used by my brother to harass other user, and I decide to make a new account after reading the Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks articles.
Decline reason:
You are exactly a sock puppet. It is you-the-person that is blocked from editing, not one particular account. You must request unblocking from your original account. --jpgordon::==( o ) 14:30, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
DeshintaChandra (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
In the guide to appealing blocks articles, it does say that if your old account was used by someone else, like your brother or sister to harass other users and was blocked, create a new account in a different location instead of making unblock request. It is say like that. See the Compromised accounts section for details.
Accept reason:
It does indeed say that. I was surprised. And you put on your userpage that you had previously used the Hosokawa account. And your edits seem to be largely constructive and in policy - the IPs you SHOUTed at did seem to be vandalising - or at least messing up the format in one case. I will unblock you at this time. Elen of the Roads (talk) 22:09, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
- I am curious about one thing. Are you saying that most of the edits made under Hosokawa (talk · contribs) were yours, except for the ones that led to the block? At what point did your brother gain access to the account? – Luna Santin (talk) 22:15, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
I lent that account to my brother (2 days after I created the account), because my brother has also a strong interest in editing wikipedia. But I didn't know he used that account to harassing other user, and when my brother gave that account back to me, I was shocked to see that account was blocked indefinitely because of harassing other user. That's why I made this new account in different location. DeshintaChandra (talk) 02:31, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Oh, thanks for unblocked me Elen of the Roads, I'm very glad. Thanks you so much for understanding my unblock reason. :) DeshintaChandra (talk) 02:36, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
- I`d just like to comment so you think I didn`t just block you and don`t care, I do care, and I'm glad Elen has given you a chance, and I support Elen`s unblock for what it`s worth. That being said though, you might want to brush up on some templates at the user talk templates page and try not to yell and or threaten new editors per our don't bite newcommers policy. Happy editing. -- DQ (t) (e) 05:47, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Okay, I'm sorry for what I've done. Sorry if I be emotional, because the IP addresses keep changing my edits. DeshintaChandra (talk) 05:59, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
- Remember, anything you put up is in the public domain and can be edited by anyone. You don't own it once you hit the save button. Try to agree good faith - unless someone is changing the text to "panties" or some such, they may be genuinely trying to improve the article, even if they just broke the formatting. Read WP:VANDAL to see what we define as vandalism, and be careful not to throw the term around. Particularly if someone else has a source, be prepared to discuss why their information is different to your information. It happens all the time - you need to reach a WP:CONSENSUS on what the best information is.
Miss Asia Pacific World 2011 Participating countries
Can anyone help me to made a map with participating countries and their placements, like the File:Miss Universe 2010 Map.svg picture ? After you made it, please help me to put the picture to the Miss Asia Pacific World 2011 page, thanks. DeshintaChandra (talk) 06:07, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
- Go to Wikipedia:Graphic Lab/Map workshop and request it there please. mabdul 10:48, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Sure, thanks. :) DeshintaChandra (talk) 13:10, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Req : Participating countries and their placements for Miss Asia Pacific World 2011
Please help me to make a map with participating countries and their placements in Miss Asia Pacific World 2011. Please make it as of File:Miss Universe 2010 Map.svg image, thanks. DeshintaChandra (talk) 13:11, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
- I have removed the template - you only use it on article talkpages. And please stop asking this question You've been told twice now where to go and ask for help with the map, and you have made no attempt to do so. If you don't understand the instructions, say that you don't understand the instructions, don't just keep repeating the question. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 14:59, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't really understand the instruction, that's why I repeatedly asked this questions. Could you help me with these, please ? DeshintaChandra (talk) 15:03, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for clearing that up. Go to [[Wikipedia:Graphic Lab/Map workshop]. Scroll down the page till you see a big green button that says "Make a new request". Click it, and it will bring up an edit window with the following template
{{subst:null| Don't forget to add a headline to your request! ↑↑↑ }}<!-- nothing or {{resolved|1=~~~}} or {{Stale|1=~~~}} --> <center><gallery>
File:IMAGENAME.EXT|Description of image
File:IMAGE#TWO.EXT|2nd image (If there is one)
File:ETCETCETC.EXT|Don't request too many at once, though
Article(s): Brazil
Request: Do something with them...
Fill in where it says "dont forget to add a headline to your request" with a headline. Where it says "Description of image" fill in with what you want, in your case a map. Where it says "Article(s)", put the name of the article it's for, instead of Brazil. Where it says "Request" explain what exactly it is that you want. Hit the save button. The template will sign for you. Elen of the Roads (talk) 19:19, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your help, but I still confused. What is "File:IMAGE#TWO.EXT" mean ? And what is "File:ETCETCETC.EXT" ? DeshintaChandra (talk) 09:54, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
- They are part of the template coding. If you fill in after the | (where it says "Description of image" with "Map of Participating countries in Miss Asia Pacific World 2011", when the template transcludes it will create a link there. Just try it and see. If you make a mess, you can always just revert yourself. Elen of the Roads (talk) 10:12, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, but I'm still don't understand. Could you help me to check it in the page ? Because I don't know whether I put it right or not. DeshintaChandra (talk) 10:32, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
- I sympathise. The template isn't exactly obvious. I think I have fixed it now - at least enough for someone to understand the request. Elen of the Roads (talk) 10:48, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for fixed it. :) DeshintaChandra (talk) 10:53, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
- Have you seen the map. Looks good Elen of the Roads (talk) 15:15, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I have seen it. DeshintaChandra (talk) 10:23, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
Hi
Hi, could you help me by keeping an eye on user Kanovski who is editing the Miss Asia Pacific World 2011 article. The user has also edited the discussion page on the article and it seems to me like it is someone with a connection to the pageant that wants some information gone. The article is currently under protection because of it. --BabbaQ (talk) 21:38, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
Sure, I could help you with this. DeshintaChandra (talk) 10:04, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
You're welcome
No problem at all, happy to help. :) - Philippe 05:42, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
winner of MAPW Korea (national) prize payout delayed
Hi, I figured I'd send you some updates since you seem to have a vested interest in seeing all news of this event come to light.
http://economy.hankooki.com/lpage/society/201110/e2011102421580593780.htm
The article is in Korean, and you can use google translate to verify some parts, but in whole GT sn't doing a good job with names and/or proper nouns. Roughly translated article below original.
Since MAPW in Korea has gathered pretty much zero news coverage, I don't think this article will be translated into English unless a foreign newspaper picks up on it...

Is the alleged sexual misconduct beauty pageant delaying prize money payout? (in Korean, sexual misconduct is originally written as 'sex solicitation')
'Miss Asia Pacific World' pageant, currently in allegations of sexual misconduct, has been accused on Oct 24th of also not paying out prize money.
It has become known that the organizers of 'Miss Asia Pacific World Korea Nationals' held on Oct 4th, has not payed out the 50,000,000 KRW (roughly US$45,000) prize money owed to Jihyun Son, who came in 1st place. Son has claimed that Laurence Choi, organizer of the Miss Asia Pacific World pageant is delaying prize money payment until she 'first sign(s) the management contract'
'Miss Asia Pacific World', held in Daegu on the 13th, is currently under investigation by the police for allegations of sex solicitation from international participants in lieu of title placement.

- Jihyun Son was not the Korean representative. There were two Koreans in the competition. One is Park Sae Byul, and the other one is Jung Eun A. In many websites and update news in the internet, Park Sae Byul was the winner of this pageant. But the FACT, the Korean girl who won this competition is not Park Sae Byul, but Jung Eun A. I thought the Korean winner is Park Sae Byul, so I put her name on the placement. After I made the placement appeared in the Miss Asia Pacific World 2011 article, the news of the Korean winner starting to spread. But, it was found out that actually the Korean who won this competition is Jung Eun A. It was revealed in the official website of Miss Asia Pacific World. At the same time, Park Sae Byul was only listed as a Top 19 semi-finalists.
- After few days, Jung Eun A resigned her title, and Florima Treiber who has been the 1st runner-up in this competition, took over the crown and title. DeshintaChandra (talk) 07:24, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Deshinta, I actually know the story from reading it on the news and also on the wiki page (including history), so you didn't need to explain that. However, in actuality, the people who entered the international portion were not the winners of the Korean portion.
- Jihyun Son won first place, Daeun Oh got runner up in the Korean portion.
- There's even more shocking news, as Korean news media are picking up on this now and are interviewing / fact-checking
- http://www.mt.co.kr/view/mtview.php?type=1&no=2011102411398261781&outlink=1
- - Runner up Oh also did not receive her prize money
- - Son asked before entering the Korean portion if the management contract was mandatory for winning, and the organizers said it was optional and Son's choice. There were even many entrants who did not sign the registration contract.
- - For her refusal to sign the management contract, Son was dismissed in a notarized letter Sep 7th. She is now preparing to sue the organizers for withholding payment of the prize money.
- - And MOST IMPORTANTLY: Korean reps who entered the international portion were not even at the Korean portion, Park and Jung are just 'regular' models picked by Choi's agency. They were rushed into the competition by Korean organizers after criticism arose that a competition hosted in Korea did not have any Korean delegates, AFTER Son refused the organizers attempt to persuade her into joining for a paltry $2,500 (which she can make in 1~1.5 weeks considering her status as an A list model).
- - Choi has also refused payment to winners of the Jet Super Girl pageant held in 2010, for the same reasons (refusal to sign management contracts).
- - AMA (http://www.asia-models.org/) president was quoted that there should be lawful means to prohibit 'unproven' pageants due to these types of mismanagement issues.
- Just in case you want references to Son and Oh's winning of the Korean portion

- In this last article, more mismanagement issues have surfaced/confirmed.
- - Organizers admit Daegu committee did not pay hotel fees
- - (While denying they never served only 1 meal a day) Organizers admit giving only snacks for 2 meals on the day they moved from Daegu to Seoul
- - Organizers also confirm the above articles citing Jihyun Son are to be true, however citing the reason as valid due to their 'intentions' to sign management contracts from the beginning, a stance they will not back down from even while admitting they entered in entrants who refused or were not even given a copy of the registration/contract to sign.
- Hope this helps. 14.52.128.164 (talk) 08:25, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- Oh my god, that was a surprising news. So, Jung Eun A and Park Sae Byul both were model ? Are they a model or supermodel ? DeshintaChandra (talk) 09:10, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- I'm guessing just regular model, since supermodels tend to be out on the news a lot, and I could find very little on both. The extent of my search was:
- - Park: won or participated in AKA Star Festival, which wasn't a model contest but rather a clothing brand that held a private contest to pick a model for a photo shoot with other stars to promote their brand http://movie.naver.com/movie/bi/pi/basic.nhn?code=266781 http://www.aka.co.kr/board/board.html?code=newaka_image9&page=1&s_id=&stext;=&ssubject;=&shname;=&scontent;=&sbrand;=&datekey;
- - Jung: was exclusive model for Naunuri (ISP and portal that has been defunct for a long time) http://people.search.naver.com/search.naver?sm=tab_txc&where=people_profile&ie=utf8&query=%EC%A0%95%EC%9D%80%EC%95%84&os=169141
- IMHO I don't think any further searches are warranted. 210.121.150.114 (talk) 10:00, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hmm...okay.
Anyway, could you tell me what special awards was given during the final night of MAPW 2011 ?
I want to put it in the Miss Asia Pacific World 2011 article.
Please tell me, thanks. DeshintaChandra (talk) 12:24, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- Let me see if I can find that out, since it doesn't seem to be reported much... I found further evidence of the winner of the Korean portion not being the rep at the int'l portion. http://www.missosology.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=67679&start=0 They had a post with the original contestant lineup saved in pic format... I don't even see Ms Wales there, and as such have doubts as to how many contestants are not even correct between Spring and Oct. (Apparently the original date of the MAPW pageant was moved from May to June to October) http://globalbeauties.com/blog/2011/10/miss-asia-pacific-world-a-shameful-contest/ 210.121.150.114 (talk) 13:25, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- Well, are you a Korean ? If yes, please help me to translate what they said in this video http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=181760501906824&fb_source=message , thanks. I don't understand Korean at all. DeshintaChandra (talk) 14:16, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- Deshinta, unfortunately no award categories are included in the vid. all cut ins are from when the MC (who is very not talented) starts to call out who the receiver is. (For example, lead up to announcing the # and country, such as 'she is wearing a beautiful dress' or 'they all must be anxious to hear who won') If you can get the person who uploaded it to reupload the original without editing maybe I can help you out. 112.144.210.4 (talk) 15:18, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- Then please write it out what does the MC said for each contestant, then I will guess it by myself what awards did they got. DeshintaChandra (talk) 15:29, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- Don't add it to the article unless you can find a copy of the entire clip, not edited, that isn't a copyright violation. Elen of the Roads (talk) 15:38, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- Deshinta, seriously, it's just "congratulations #xx from yy, now please step here for the photo shoot". "congratulations #xx from yy, that dress is amazing." "congratulations #xx from yy, when you stepped forward all the people couldn't help staring becuase you are so beautiful." etc etc. But ok, since you wanted it, here goes.
- First award receiver, video cut in after the category, contestant # and country was announced. "Congratulations, just a moment, please step here to take a photo op. This is the single photo that will last for the rest of your life."
- Second award receiver, #32 Ms Puerto Rico. "Congratulations. You have a wonderful dress, and you were so enthusiastic on stage." "Now, yes, please hug them lightly, please come to the front of the stage for the photo op."
- Third award receiver, #44 Ms Venezuela. "Yes, when this contestant walked down the stage, our audience just stared with mouths agape."
- Fourth award receiver, #4 Ms Brazil. "Congratulations, Brazil. How anxious you must have been, and how happy you must be now."
- Fifth award receiver, #19 Ms Korea. "Korea, yes, we had two contestants from Korea, and I want to give this award to both of you. But other countries, they will say 'why did both contestants from Korea receive wards?'. so even though I should give both of you the award, please understand."
- Sixth award receiver, Ms Indonesia. "She is so beautiful. (garbled) her romantic clothes makes us feel like she is a goddess."
- Seventh award receiver, Ms Ukraine. "Ukraine, congratulations. I can see a taeguk design in her clothes, it looks to symbolize the friendship between Ukraine and Korea. Male fans (garbled)"112.144.210.4 (talk) 16:04, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
I think I'd just give up with these things. I still didn't get it what special awards did they meant. DeshintaChandra (talk) 05:23, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
- Much safer. After all, if the clip has been edited, you have no idea if the person who edited it has omitted something, spliced something in, altered the order, etc etc. Elen of the Roads (talk) 12:37, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

Your edit summaries
Hello my friend. You are doing a good job. Just a friendly suggestion: It's probably best to avoid all capital letters. The thing is that some perceive it as yelling, and so may start to be disruptive in anger. If there's anything you ever need, please just ask. Best wishes, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:50, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
Okay, thanks for your suggestion. Next time, I will avoid capital letters appear on the edit summaries. :) DeshintaChandra (talk) 09:19, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, seems like a long copy-paste, and is already tackled by some of the references in the controversies section. Anyway, I did a fix including moving the controversies to a new section and disambiguation from Miss Asia Pacific International. Cheers. GrayFullbuster (talk) 14:48, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Miss World China 2012.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Miss World China 2012.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File permission problem with File:Dian Inggrawati.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Dian Inggrawati.jpg, which you've attributed to https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dian-Inggrawati_Miss-Deaf/260761133985094. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 15:27, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Miss Supranational country rankings
The article Miss Supranational country rankings has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No need to make a "medal list" for 4-year old beauty contest. Main article is at AfD. Even if it is not deleted there is no need for this list. When the pageant reaches some 15-20 years of age then we may make this kind of a list.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Why should I have a User Name?
