The August 2023 Good Article Nominations Backlog Drive is at the halfway mark, and has seen incredible progress, dropping the backlog from 638 to 359 unreviewed articles -- a 43.7% reduction in only fifteen days! But we still have over two weeks to go, and there are plenty of articles left to review:
- We've gone from 14 nominations 270+ days old and 65 nominations 180+ days old to 2 and 0 respectively. No more articles will reach 270+ status during the drive, and only three more will reach 180+ if unreviewed, so this is your last chance to get the higher age bonuses!
- We still have plenty of articles in the 90+ range, but the list is shrinking fast.
- Some articles need new reviewers, either because they're officially on second opinion or because the original reviews were deleted or invalidated. You can help prevent these articles from waiting longer!
- While there are starting to be clear favourites for the Content Review Medal of Merit, the field is still very open. A late entrant can still pull an upset to get the most reviews in the drive!
And remember: if you've done reviews, you should log them at the backlog drive page for points, so they can be tracked towards your awards at the end.
Thanks for signing up for the drive, and I hope to see you reviewing! Vaticidalprophet 02:01, 15 August 2023 (UTC)

Taking a break
Hi there! I'm about to get into a pretty busy time in my life, and so I've decided to at least take a long break from mentorship for the time being (or else quit and rejoin when I can). I wanted to let you know before I disappear, and also tell you to still feel free to drop a message on my talk page any time – you just won't be able to use the "ask a question" feature to navigate to my talk, and I will probably take longer than usual to respond. And really, you're getting to the point you don't need a lot of mentorship anymore – you're learning your way around pretty well. I'll still be happy to see you around, though, and I don't intend to be gone completely or for good. Anyway, well done on your Wikipedia work, and, as always, happy editing ~ Perfect4th (talk) 05:34, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hey @Perfect4th!

Bhagavad Gita
Hi @Chilicave - Thanks for making lot of contribution in Hinduism related pages. I just want to mention that I saw your edits on the Bhagavad Gita page and did manual revert for couple of edits around the term "results". I haven't read the cited sources yet where the edits are made, but BG does differentiate results, fruits, and rewards. results is phala (outcome of action), fruits is karma-phala (not only immediate, but future lives as well), rewards is punya or praise (positive recognition). Asteramellus (talk) 12:17, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hello @Asteramellus,
- Ah, I see. When first reading the information, "results, fruits and rewards" all seemed like generic terms. Now that you have specified, it makes sense. One suggestion though: could this extra information be added in as a footnote for readers?
- Cheers Chilicave (talk) 22:59, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Chilicave yes, I think it would be helpful, with citation. Asteramellus (talk) 01:40, 3 December 2023 (UTC)

Deities section
Hi @Chilicave I saw you created a section for Deities again on the BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi page and moved the content (that I had merged into Architecture section) from Architecture section to Deities. I had moved it to Architecture because the section for Deities had just few lines and not worth having its own section since it can easily fit into the Architecture section. I saw you noted in comment that different in Architecture and Deities - but I am wondering if it makes sense to have it's own section? Asteramellus (talk) 22:16, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @Asteramellus,
- It makes sense that these two are kept as different sections. Deities or murtis cannot be considered as architecture within Hinduism. Architecture reminds us of a building or structure. However, murtis are seen as a sacred image of God and venerated as though it is God Himself.
- For further clarity, I've added links to those definitions. Chilicave (talk) 02:22, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Chilicave yes makes sense. Didn't really think much about the differences when I moved - I mainly moved thinking it was just too short and might be more readable along with architecture section. Asteramellus (talk) 13:44, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
