If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. The article Myanmore Magazine has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is a weak claim to significance, but nothing that hints at notability per WP:WEB or WP:CORP. No secondary sources, and promotionally written.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. bonadea contributions talk 19:52, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Brittney Tun. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Myanmore Magazine, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 18:43, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest- Response

Hello Bonadea and thanks for your support.

Sorry for the scattered style in the beginning. I am learning the ropes and had no idea the process was so involved, but I am educating myself with the help of some well-meaning and supporting senior editors on here. No, I am not an employee of the organization and do not personally know the founder, though I know one of the employees and occasionally help them with freelance work. I was not asked or paid to write the article. This is just the first of many projects/articles that I would like to contribute to enhance the Myanmar section of Wikipedia. I really want to get it right and understand the style that is acceptable before I continue on to other projects here. So, I edited a lot (again, without realizing the process was so involved). There is much to add regarding Wiki Myanmar.

Speedy deletion nomination of Chicago School of Mold Making

Hello Brittney Tun,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Chicago School of Mold Making for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can , but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

TheLongTone (talk) 15:32, 29 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@User:TheLongTone Thanks for the notification. It's a pastry school and specialty sugar sculpture school (and business) that I learned about and used as a resource during my time in culinary school and in my professional pastry career. It's one of the few mold-making schools in the USA, but I didn't want to add that because I was afraid that some would say it was too 'adverty'. I think its notable, almost every pastry chef in the country uses their techniques, so how can I go about improving it? For now, citation base is limited to what I found.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Brittney Tun (talk • contribs) 05:20, 30 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Culture of Myanmar into Etiquette in Myanmar. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:41, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for the clarification and for taking care of that this time. I will take note and credit accordingly whenever needed going forward. Brittney Tun (talk) 07:35, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kaylartha Pagoda, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Belin (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Notice

The article Stéphane Tréand has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Promotional. Sources cited do not indicate independent notability of the type demanded by WP:N. The LA Times source is a local report ("SoCal" region), and the OC Register is also SoCal news. These are the only two independent news sources, and they don't hit WP:AUD. The other sources include his school's own website (obviously not independent) and the website of a promotional event, Indulge LA. It's not sufficient to hit GNG.

♠PMC(talk) 00:20, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
