Re Bangor, Maine and The Maine Edge
Hi there! I got your message, thanks. First off, welcome to Wikipedia! On to the revert of my edit: I've reverted back for the time being because you've not established consensus for inclusion of this item and the company/magazine itself has not yet been established as notable. I noticed you created the article for The Maine Edge, so my removal of the text you created linking to the magazine in the Bangor article was based on the possibility that yours is a single purpose account intending to push a POV or promote this magazine. If you have a link with the content of an article, best to make sure people know in advance and/or to request consensus on a talk page before making a change. Ideally a good start would have been to post on the Bangor talk page something like "hey everyone, I work for/have links with this magazine which I think might make a useful addition to the article under the media section: what do people think? Would anyone object if I included it?" etc. I've no personal objections, to be honest, and that's why I've not added a prod template (for speedy deletion) to the The Maine Edge article. If it gets cleaned up then I see no reason why it shouldn't be included as an article and in mention in the Bangor article. ColdmachineTalk 22:00, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hi again! No worries: I'm glad that I was able to help. Starting off editing on Wikipedia felt a bit like joining some elitist social group or something when I first started, so I know how it can feel sometimes, and I too didn't realise there were so many policies and guidelines on things to include. It's taken me a few months to get to grips with the basic ones, but after you do they make a lot of sense it turns out :) If you need any help with editing or whatnot then just pop me a message and I'll be happy to take a look. Actually, as an aside, I only recently got back from a trip across the Pond to visit Maine which included three days in Bangor. I'm in love with the state: Bar Harbor has to be my favourite place! Articles for deletion nomination of The Maine Edge
I have nominated The Maine Edge, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Maine Edge. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. –Juliancolton | Talk 03:46, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Cover 091907.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 07:00, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
