Templates
Hi, sorry for the belated welcome message you have slipped through the net. I came here to point out that you should not substitute templates in main article space so that changes can be made directly to the template and it is then applied to all of the articles it appears on. You just put {{Stratford-on-Avon district}} into the article to place the template there. I think I have picked up the ones that you have done on the Warwickshire articles and un-substituted them appropriately. If you have any problems then drop me a note on my talk page. Thanks. Sambourne
Sorry for the delay but here are comments after a quick review of Sambourne article.
- Lead
- Distances should be converted to display km as well. Use the {{convert}} template as this will also provide the non-breaking spaces. Should avoid the use of fractions as they are difficult to read. Done --Kudpung (talk) 09:52, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- Link Warwick & Stratford upon Avon. Done
- Infobox indicates it is a civil parish but no mention of this in the lead or category Category:Civil parishes in Warwickshire in article. Done --Kudpung (talk) 09:52, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- Coughton needs a dab adding
- Governance
- I would hide the dab on the constituency and show usual English wording
- wikilink the MEPs as we probably have articles for them. Done
- Lamdmarks
- Link Chapel of Ease Done
- Need a reference for date of chapel
- Expand Btn & bt
- My guess is that the church is a listed building if so then this should be mentioned
- Probably a photo of the church would be good
- There is a photo of a pub but no mention of this in the text
- Use an n-dash rather than hyphen when linking years
- Transport
- Link to the station and line articles.
- General
- Make the embedded external links into references
- Switch references to use one of the {{cite}} family of templates m Done (not necessary but cleaned up) --Kudpung (talk) 09:52, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- Need to mention the population figure in the text and provide a reference for this
Probably you can get the gist of thing from these for other articles. Keith D (talk) 18:36, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
Northamptonshirre, Worcestershierre, Warwickshierre, and Everyshierre
Hello Argrogan! A non-British user seems to be attempting to suggest that the Brits are not pronouncing their own British place names correctly, and appears to believe that it is a policy of Wikipedia to instruct the Brits, through the use of the IPA, how British English should be pronounced. He/she also seems to be of the opinion that it is Wikipedia policy to regard British English by default as a rhotic language, which it is not. Some British Wikipedians are trying to avoid an edit conflict and have requested my support. I have added my comments to the debate the non-British user has has started in defence of his/her multiple, WP:BOLD? changes to IPA pronunciations of British place names. As a professional linguist I accord every version of English its own particular merits and my position here strictly concerns the way in which the IPA is interpreted and applied in the Wikipedia, and how the current policy may need to be changed through a truly representative consensus. If you would like to help resolve this issue, please see User talk:Kudpung#IPA, RP, etc. and User talk:Lfh#Warwickshire to get the background. Maybe you could then chime in with your views on the subject at Wikipedia talk:IPA for English#Rhoticity in place names. Thanks. --Kudpung (talk) 19:21, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Edit Summaries
Hi Argrogan! Thanks for your recent contributions, especially to Coughton, Warwickshire. When editing an article on Wikipedia you probably noticed there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written in the field will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature. Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. Thank you. Kudpung (talk) 12:13, 1 July 2010 (UTC))
Sorry for that I've always been re-miss in completing that section, I'll be more thorough in the future. Thanks Adrian --Argrogan (talk) 15:56, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
A beer for you!

Ardens Grafton and Temple Grafton
Thanks for your note, Argrogan, I uploaded the image yesterday. It struck me as having a lot of charm, but I have never been nearer to either of these Graftons than Stratford, where the photographer, W. A. Smith, was from. His mistake over the place name has stood on the record for more than a hundred years, waiting for you to correct it. I have added the photograph to the Temple Grafton page, instead. You might like to add a correction on the Commons page? Moonraker (talk) 18:27, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
