Article talk pages are not forums for general discussion
Try clicking on the all-caps links before reinstating your edits. As explained on WP:NOTFORUM, article talk pages are for discussing improvements to the articles, not for posting political screeds and pet conspiracy theories related to the subject of the article. - I know talk pages are for improving the article. However, labeling my points as a "conspiracy theory" without providing evidence seems unfair. My point was based on an interview published on Rediff, which refutes claims of hate calls from mosques, and a YouTube video reporting during the exodus. i didn’t include a links, only summarised what was said.
- According to Wikipedia’s WP:NPOV policy, all significant viewpoints should be represented to ensure the article remains balanced. I hope you will revert the changes and allow other editors to include these perspectives in line with this guideline. Aliyiya5903 (talk) 08:53, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- A denial is not a "refutation". A fringe conspiracy theory is not a "significant viewpoint". Interviews and YouTube videos are not reliable sources. See A departure from history: Kashmiri Pandits, 1990-2001 by Alexander Evans, p. 21–22 for a discussion of this idea and its dismissal. TryKid [dubious – discuss] 10:42, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- Labeling it as a "fringe conspiracy theory" in order to fit a particular narrative appears to be biased. The interview, with the state Chief Secretary at the time, is a credible source providing an alternate account, and the YouTube reference is the only historical recording from the exodus. If you still disagree with this approach, I will have no choice but to seek administrative assistance to address this matter and ensure that all relevant perspectives are fairly represented in the article.
