Orphaned non-free media (Image:Windows Vista Beta 2 Desktop.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Windows Vista Beta 2 Desktop.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 15:46, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Margaritaville (South Park)

Hey Alastor. I was just about to nominate Margaritaville for a GA and then I saw you did so yourself. Glad to see it! However, I was wondering if perhaps it would be better if I nominated it and you reviewed it instead? Since it doesn't appear from the history that you've done too much editing on the article, you'd be in a position to review it whereas I would not. Otherwise, it could sit in the backlogged WP:GAN for a while. I'm fine with whatever you want, but let me know what you think. — Hunter Kahn (contribs) 21:03, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with what you mean. But how about if you could get TheLeftorium to review it? —Alastor Moody 21:24, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Damien (South Park)

Thanks for reviewing Weight Gain 4000! I had no idea it would be reviewed so quickly, I much appreciate it! As for Damien (South Park), I basically want to do the same thing with that one (and the others I previously worked on) before I put it up for GA: listen to the DVD commentary, and look through Google Books for any other sources I could use. I think what I'll do is make Damien my next priority; I anticipate I'll nominate it for GA by either today or tomorrow. As for the sections, yeah, I'll probably merge Home Video Release into Production, and I'll probably do the same for Cultural References if that section isn't any bigger by the time I'm done.

Hey, you should join us over at the South Park Featured Topic Drive! There's still a few Season 1 articles that haven't been touched at all and really need work. This thing started because some people were proposing merging Season 1 episode articles with the Season 1 topic article because they didn't think the episodes themselves were notable enough. We improved them in order to prove that they were, and now we started this project in order to keep the improvements going and eventually move on to other seasons. But we could really use some other participants, if you're game... — Hunter Kahn (contribs) 13:18, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have already merged 'Home Video Release' with 'Production'. I didn't merge 'Cultural references' in case you might wanted to expand it; so I'll leave that up to you. Unfortunately I do not own south park season DVDs so I'm unable to have easy or instant access to DVD commentary. However I might be able to help if there is useful info on Google books or news. —Alastor Moody 04:08, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'd suggest waiting because within 30 minutes, I'm going to have a whole lot new content from the Commentary section on it. Perhaps then we could nominate it together, so we could both respond to any comments or complaints? — Hunter Kahn (contribs) 04:47, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks man, appreciate the review! Damien (South Park) is very nearly ready, shouldn't be much longer. Sorry it took a bit longer than I expected. — Hunter Kahn (contribs) 05:55, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • Incidentally, there is one other thing that needs to be done before this will be ready for GA. According to WP:TVMOS, a plot summary should be between 250 and 500 words. The one right now for "Damien" is about 900 words, and there is a lot of unnecessary detail that could be axed from it pretty easily. I'm in the process of finishing the commentary stuff and will also be expanding the lead in a second. Maybe you'd like to take a crack at tightening the plot summary? If not, let me know and I'll do it. — Hunter Kahn (contribs) 06:04, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
      • Don't worry about it. I just watched the episode again this morning, lol, so it will be easy enough for me to do it. If you want to help out, can do me a solid by looking over what I just added for any errors, but otherwise, I'm cool. — Hunter Kahn (contribs) 06:11, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
        • I'm inclined to go with Option 1 for now (nominate it for GA now, and bring it back for a possible FA later). However, my real suggestion would be to ask Cirt (my partner in crime in this whole South Park featured topic drive) what he thinks. If he thought we should go for FA, then I'd support going for it; that way too, the three of us could all be on hand to address any objections that come along during the FAC process. For now, though, all that really remains is to shorten that plot summary. And although I'd like to finish it up tonight, I'm pretty beat and want to head to bed. If you like, you can either do it yourself then go ahead and nominate it for GA or send a message to Cirt. Otherwise, I'll finish up the plot summary in the morning. — Hunter Kahn (contribs) 07:04, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
          • Actually, I just checked in with Cirt and he suggests Option 1 as well; we can always nominate it for FA later, and we probably will, but for now let's stick with GA. Thanks for the suggestion though! — Hunter Kahn (contribs) 07:21, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks Moody! Just so you know, I added wikilinks to the plot summary and actually expanded it just a little bit, so the length would be consistent with Weight Gain 4000 and the other articles we're expanding. I much appreciate your help, and hope you keep active in the featured topic drive with us! — Hunter Kahn (contribs) 15:06, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • Thanks Moody. I made some comments in there and I think we're ready for the next one. By the way, I keep forgetting to tell you this...Harry Potter kicks ass. :D — Hunter Kahn (contribs) 02:56, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NATO enlargement

I'm not sure what to update about the section you marked. There were no membership action plans given out, and no date given for when they might be. I could have it say that Montenegro and Bosnia requested MAPs, but not that the have them. I could also update that Georgia and Ukraine have "Annual Action Plans" which is perhaps the quiet work-around for giving them the elements of a MAP without upsetting Russia more. What were you thinking on this?--Patrick «» 16:29, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo

Thanks for the offer, but I think it might be better if we wait and let someone else review it. I know you weren't involved with that article, but I'd rather someone from outside the project look it over, just so there can't be any false accusations that I'm getting people to pass articles for me without proper reviews, you know? Nice new username too, by the way. :) — Hunter Kahn (contribs) 05:09, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: GA Reviews

I'm a bit busy today and tomorrow so I won't be able to review any of them until Sunday. —TheLeftorium 11:11, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Fishsticks

lol Thanks for taking a look, I'll look at the concerns and try to address them tonight. It's probably not a problem to review it as long as you haven't been a significant contributor, but I tend to be a bit cautious about such things. As long as it's clear that you shouldn't give me any breaks or just pass it for the sake of passing it, and I'm sure you wouldn't. You should just treat it like any other GAN... — Hunter Kahn (contribs) 14:38, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GA review

It means that I'm in the middle of a 15 page paper and I haven't had a chance to review the article for GA status quite yet. I merely put the template up so that when I do I already have the guide ready to go.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 00:05, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, although it might be a little helpful to others when you mentioned that at the review page. —Terrence and Phillip 00:07, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It should have been in both of the edit summaries when I created the sections. Anyways, I'm wrapping up that paper and should be able to get to the review sometime tonight (tomorrow morning at the latest).  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 00:11, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Good luck on that paper. Cheers, —Terrence and Phillip 00:15, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Crowz

Following the release on Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat. there were several changes in the band and other things. Slipknot continued to work on their music and record demos in SR Audio studio in their hometown. It is rumoured that they planned to release a second demo-album in 1997 called "Crowz". However, there are no reliable sources to back up the claims that the album was called Crowz and/or any tracklisting. Some recordings of these demos which were recorded between MFKR and their debut album made their way on to the internet and some people patched them together and called it "Crowz". This fueled the rumour of the album being real and Slipknot fansites continue to insist that it is real. But liek I said there are no reliable sources and so the article can't remain per WP:V, nto to mention the fact that it was unreleased and probably fails WP:N too. As a fan, I don't know what to believe, or care to be honest lol. REZTER TALK ø 01:28, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I did see that you nominated the JJ article for a GA and once that recieves a review and comments I will help you with that article. A few weeks ago I began working on rewriting the article for Come What(ever) May, you can see what I have done here: User:Rezter/Sandbox. I am not the best at writing Musical Style sections, there are a bunch of sources in my sandbox if you wanna help out feel free to write that section. That article would easily become a GA I'm sure. Joey Jordison GA review

Hello thar; just in case you didn't see, I'm reviewing your GAN for Joey Jordison. The article is currently on hold. --gakon5 (talk) 21:00, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thank you for reviewing the article, and being so prompt as well. I don't want to be ungrateful, or rude, but I find your review to be a bit disappointing because while I appreciate the quick promotion, I was hoping for some more critical comments that would allow me to improve the article further. -- Scorpion0422 02:34, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I see. To me the article is good material. Well if you would like a second opinion from another reviewer, I'll reopen the nomination and put it on hold. —Terrence and Phillip 02:59, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It might not hurt to at least get a second opinion. Like I said above, I don't want to be rude since you so generously reviewed the article, but generally you should try to leave some comments before promoting it, otherwise it may look like a driveby promotion. -- Scorpion0422 01:47, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm happy to take over reviewing the article- give it a second review, see what I feel needs to be fixed, and hopefully promote it after some improvements. It's too late in the evening to do that now, but I'll do it as soon as I get up tomorrow. J Milburn (talk) 02:13, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

South Park Season 1 FT

I think the first season of South Park is ready for FT! As you were a participant, and will be listed as a co-nominator, I wanted to bring this discussion to your attention before I officially nominated it. Thanks! — Hunter Kahn 00:40, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey T&P! I hope you don't mind, but I've listed myself as a co-nominator on the Sexual Healing (South Park) GAN, since I did a good chunk of the work on it. Also, I've downgraded the B grade to an A grade simply because, unless I'm mistaken, an A grade is actually higher than a GA and requires a separate review. Anyway, thanks for your interest and help! — Hunter Kahn 04:31, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. :) Also great work in succeeding to get Season 1 to FT and Season 13 to GT! You're a valuable contributor! Best, —Terrence and Phillip 06:47, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rutherfordium/GA1

This toolserver tool tells me that I am only the third most important contributor after User:Drjezza and User:Nergaal (he is inactive since 21. February). I would be best also to ask them if they are interested in helping in the GAN process. From what I have been told some time ago it major contributors should be asked before nominating a article for FAC or GAN. For rutherfordium I will try what I can do to get it up to GA status. The Good article topic for group 4 elements would be the next step.--Stone (talk) 06:43, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 20:27, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello WikiProject Space member! A discussion has been started regarding the future of WikiProject Space here; any comments you might have would be welcome! There are mainly two competing ideas:

  1. Centralize all the Space-related WikiProjects, such as Astronomy and Spaceflight, and merge them into WikiProject Space, or
  2. Separate the Astronomy and Spaceflight "sides" of WikiProject, and remove WikiProject Space.

If you can think of other options, that's great too. Your contribution to the discussion would be much appreciated. Thanks! :)

Hi. I happened to notice User talk:Sandstein/Archives/2011/September#Help usurp username in German Wikipedia. You might want to at least click through the standard procedure at Special:MergeAccount so that the output of the standard SUL verification script for A7x elucidates the problem, like it does for others who have had the same issue (like myself). --Joy-temporary (talk) 20:16, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You literally just have to click at Special:MergeAccount, and then click the button there to confirm you want it. That's all there is to it. It will then tell you that it merged your accounts with identical passwords, and that some others remain unmerged (unattached). After you've done that once, visiting Special:MergeAccount again will simply tell you that you can finish merge if there are unattached accounts left, so you can try again as more accounts get usurped. In short, just do it :) --Joy [shallot] (talk) 15:25, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
