Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. —Celithemis 08:50, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Please stop adding commercial or personal-website links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. —Celithemis 09:06, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Please remember to mark your edits as minor when (and only when) they genuinely are minor edits (see Wikipedia:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one (and vice versa) is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting, and minor rearranging of text should be flagged as a 'minor edit'. Thanks! —Celithemis 09:20, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
My apologies for not marking the first ones. Regarding the links, as you must have noticed they are not commercials. I thought the content would be relevant, at least when compared to the exisiting links... Anyway I have now stopped as requested --benoa 09:26, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, none of them are minor edits according to Wikipedia's definition as listed above. A minor change would be something like fixing a typo. (I realize this definition is not immediately obvious.)
- Regardless of whether the links are commercial or not, Wikipedia is not a collection of external links. If you feel that some of the links you added did meet Wikipedia's guideline on external links, please propose the additions on the talk pages of those articles. —Celithemis 09:32, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
