Actionz van Neshie is also known for having coached Chabata High School B-team from 2002 to 2007, which was the most successful period in the school's modern era. He is to date the only football manager to have won the Local Tournaments, the ZIM Rights Championship , and the Ward Cup in 1 year.
Early life and playing career.
After his late father Webson Neshumba was demoted at Delta Beverages were he worked life became so difficult for the family and Actionz van Neshie was sent back to the rural area. "It was so hurting to live in the village and i miss the ghetto life i used to enjoy.I liked the way i survived in the ghettos of Mutare, playing mini soccer with friends and fighting as well in the streets. However, there is no better psychological education than growing up in a pub because when you are five or six years old, you meet all different people and hear how cruel they can be to each other. From an early age you get a practical, psychological education to get into the minds of people. It is not often that a boy of five or six is always living with adults in a little village. I learned about tactics and selection from the people talking about football in the pub – who plays on the left wing and who should be in the team" Actionz van Neshie was introduced to football by his father, the manager of the village team-Mateu now called Arambe Stars at about the age of six. He was taken to see games in Harare and back in his home town in Mutare and Birchenough Bridge where teams like Cottco and Maps played their mini league around the Eastern Border. Actionz van Neshie and his brothers and other village boys were raised Catholics and often needed to seek permission from the priest to miss Sunday prayers in order to play football because mostly they played games on Sundays against rural teams-Kateya,Chimbare,Guwirenzou and Chabata. All these rural teams letter on merge to be one big team called Arambe Stars.Because the population of Neshumba Village was LOW, fielding a team of 11 players of equal ages proved difficult as a result Actionz van Neshie played against big boys and some married men while at the age twelve and because of his age he played as a goal keeper, a position that he held until the next summer. For much of his youth, Actionz van Neshie spent time playing football and organising matches for the village team-Mateu Boys. He was made into the first team at age of 13 playing as a winger and was subsequently signed by a nearby third division club Arambe Stars. The club was famed for playing the "best amateur football" in Ward 29, managed by his uncle Mapurisa "muhwahwa" Neshumba, who would later go on to become Actionz van Neshie's mentor. Actionz's playing career was modest. He played in various positions and was described by Paul K Charambira the then headmaster of Chabata Primary as having "an ability to guard the ball ... he seemed to have a complete vision of the pitch and he certainly had an influence among his team-mates....he is the jack-of-all-trends" and he nicknamed him "mambo"
Style of Play.
Actionz van Neshie's game play was characterized by his tireless runs in midfield and good reading of oppositions' attacks. He plays a key role in breaking up opponents' attacks, shielding the ball when in possession, and then setting up counterattacks for his teammates. Playing in a withdrawn role of a three-men midfield, Actionz allows his other teammates in midfield [Taona Neshumba,Promise Neshie and Tafirenyika Simango to provide support to the attack with more freedom. His passing range has also improved in recent years before he was ruled out of professional soccer due to health issues and he has been able to contribute with a number of assists for the team. A chipped through ball, most commonly to Arambe Stars teammate and brother Nephanie Neshie, has become a trademark of Actionz's style of play in the years of his career.
Captaincy
On 24 April 2000,Actionz van Neshie was named the skipper of Chabata Primary School U15 Boys as the successor to Peter Mucharwei. However, just as Chabata Primary were getting back into the title race after a poor start to the season, Actionz van Neshie was ruled out for four weeks after sustaining a knee injury against Devuli Primary on their pre-season match and also got ill in the following week and spend almost a month out of play. In tandem with Chabata High's policy to groom its young players, the team that Actionz van Neshie led into the new season consisted mostly of the same young nucleus as before, with the likes of Taurai Mutsvari, Ezekiel Murimwe, Bernard Murata, Bonface Mariko,Ebinei Zvawanda,Andrew Makosho,Forget Chimbari,Trymore Nhengwa and Obey Murimwe,Murehwa Makaya and Clever Neshumba in tow.The team bounced back strongly after this setback, and with Actionz van Neshie being prolific in scoring and setting up his teammates, it went unbeaten in the next 15 games and having drawn just 1 game against Nemadziva Primary who has other players that the then coach Bodzo integrated in his team. He took a few guys to beef-up his team especially the defense and just to name a few-Move Mukombe,Witness Urayai,Gift Urayai,Trust Koke,Kemus Mukombe and the other guy called Gidza. Actionz van Neshie led his team to the national level twice consecutively in 2000 and 2001. Actionz also led the Chabata U20 Boys to provincial level which was the most achievement that was last done early back in 1994.
