Chintan Thacker is an entrepreneur, businessman, industrialist and philanthropist in Kenya, the largest economy in the East African Community. He is the Managing Director & the Group Chief Executive Officer of Vivek Group, a business conglomerate involved in various sectors of the economy such as FMCG (Manufacturing Home care, Air Care & Personal Care Products), Interior Home Products (Manufacturing of Window Blinds & Curtain Rods), Precious Metals and Stones, Beverage Glass Bottles & Real Estate.

Thacker was born in the year 1980 in the state of Gujarat, India. He spent most of his early days growing up in Mumbai before being sent to the prestigious boarding school - Mayo College in the princely state of Rajasthan for Secondary Education.

He further attended United States International University in Nairobi Kenya, to study International Business Administration (IBA) with a double minor in Marketing & Finance graduating in the year 2002.He further went on to study Gemology with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in the year 2003.

In 2004, Chintan Thacker’s first job was as an intern in a Jewellery manufacturing company in Mumbai, the Jewellery capital of India as a diamond grader. He was then offered to join the company as a full time employee as a diamond buyer. He returned to Kenya in 2005 and joined his father’s business at the bottom of the tier as a Sales and Marketing manager.

Chintan Thacker is married to Nina Thacker with 2 children, 1 son & 1 daughter and lives in Nairobi, Kenya.
