User:RidG
This is my user page. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My name is Dmitriy, and I go by RidG on Wikipedia. I joined Wikipedia under a different name in 2002, but did not become active under my current name until 2004-2005.
I contribute mainly to United States Supreme Court cases. I am a member of Wikipedia SCOTUS Cases project, which is always looking for new members. On any given day, I typically try to participate in cleaning up Wikipedia, primarily via copyediting and voting in the VfD category. I subscribe to the notion that Wikipedia is somewhat bloated as it currently stands (a necessary evil of its open nature), and thus tend to vote in a reductionist manner (really, a euphemism for "delete everything"). Below is a list of my stubs and articles that I have either created or participated heavily in. I am a big fan of peer review and peer editing, so feel free to mercilessly tear my articles apart. Cheers.
Quick To-Do
Cases | Status | Everything Else |
---|---|---|
Hamdan v. Rumsfeld | At least Thomas' dissent; more if there is time. | Today's VfD |
U.S. v. Morrison | Need to add "Critical Response" | Consider majorly expanding Checkers speech |
Garcetti v. Ceballos | Probably good for now | Vote on this week's Project Collaboration Article |
Kansas v. Marsh | Expand stub | New Wiki Pages |
Randall v. Sorrell | Expand stub | All Prod Articles |
Dixon v. United States | New article | |
LULAC v. Perry | Interesting & significant case; expand |

Articles I want to write at some point
These are some (IMO) interesting Supreme Court cases, mostly relating to free speech and the incorporation of the Bill of Rights, that I want to write about at some point. If you have a specific case in mind that you think should be added as an article to Wikipedia, please feel free to suggest it on my talk page.
