Gene Hobbs lives in Durham, North Carolina, and works in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Clinical Skills and Patient Simulation Center. His career in medical research and education started at the Duke University Center for Hyperbaric Medicine and Environmental Physiology. Gene is also a founding board member of The Rubicon Foundation, Inc and the 2010 DAN/ Rolex Diver of the Year.
