Deletion Quota

This week (19:00, 25 September 2005 (UTC)) I will be nominating 200 articles for deletion. Erwin I used to participate heavily on VFD, but now I do mainly article work.

Delete Log

A helpful delete log is available here.

Thank you, and welcome legitimate user... in a non-sarcastic tone

Thank you for your edits, some people, however, might think they are vandalism--172.156.178.23 05:10, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sure you're in good hands, especially with MONGO looking out for you, much like he does for the mysterious anon ips in the 84.x.x.x range that go around vandalizing people he doesn't like--172.156.178.23 05:17, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The only thing you prove is that you are no better than he is or isn't...what are you talking about this IP 84 etc.?--MONGO 05:32, September 3, 2005 (UTC)
1)accusing a vandal/sock of being a vandal/sock, does not make you a vandal/sock, 2) threatening me with being ass raped in jail after aol arrests me for bothering you, is, quite frankly... psychotic, I hope your meds help you work that little issue out some day, oh and 3) there's this guy User_talk:81.76.68.40, give me a few moments to finish checking your edit history--172.156.178.23 05:37, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Make a death threat etc...then you'll be arrested..go ahead, make my day little boy.--MONGO 08:08, September 3, 2005 (UTC)
Like this one on the hurricane page, again, I guess you have some sort of special immunity here, either that or you suffer from some type of debilitating mental illness, that makes you think you have a special immunity to threaten people
You're a complete idiot. I didn't incite a riot, my post was not a personal attack in that talk page, nor was it vandalism...so you know, moron, that was a talk page about Hurricane Katrina and that troll came in there to insult the U.S. (and the "frenchies") and what I wrote in response is in absolutely no manner a personal attack, a threat or vandalism...saying that the U.S. citizens would defend their soil even if it meant using a toilettank cover to do it is not a personal attack....are you a complete idiot, or what?...nevermind: you are a complete idiot.--MONGO 20:04, September 3, 2005 (UTC)
I'm the idiot? you just threantend to have me arrested for accusing your sockpuppet of vandalism--172.169.115.14 21:03, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Who are you, then? Erwin

User:172.156.178.23 suspected sockpuppet of Hipocrite

Do you have evidence for this? ~~ N (t/c) 21:06, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I feel so special, Mongo's sockpuppet has decided to go after me too, what an honor--172.169.115.14 21:08, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Walsh, please stop adding the sockpuppet template to user: 172. I don't think 172 is a sockpuppet of Hipocrite, and don't see any evidence Hipocrite uses sockpuppet accounts. We can't perform tit for tat vandalism! If you want me to work with you, then please follow the rules of engagement. No doubt 172 is a troll and has been hanging around certain articles and Wikipedia contributors for awhile but I think he/she is an independent troll that has no affiliation with anyone else.--MONGO 20:56, September 4, 2005 (UTC)

So...?

[your edits, are obviously vandalsim, guess no one cares, go on, keep trolling--172.169.115.14 21:07, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

yep, no one cares, as long as you're right wing here, you pretty much have a licences to troll, so keep on trolling person-named-walsh-who-isn't-mongo, troll to your heart's content--172.131.229.148 20:47, 5 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Hahahaha. Erwin
Keep on talking, sockpuppet--64.12.116.70 22:00, 7 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Mediation Filed

A request for mediation has been filed. It reads:

Dispute over membership and conduct on Wikipedia:WikiProject_Wikipedians_for_encyclopedic_merit

There has been an RFC on the page itself, not on individual user conduct RFC.

Users involved:

All users have been notified. The original intent was to file an RFAr, however we are willing to try mediation first, see User_talk:Noitall#Important_notice.2C_for_immediate_attention and hope that it will be productive.

You're out of line

Placing comments such as these [1] [2] on users' talk pages is totally inappropriate. I encourage you to stop before you are blocked.. --Canderson7 02:12, September 6, 2005 (UTC)

In light of the below message I see my warning has come too late. Don't mistake me though, Sasquatch probably made the right decision. --Canderson7 02:20, September 6, 2005 (UTC)

My Talk Page

Please tell your cat not to remove trolling from my user talk page. That is my prerogative, and mine alone. I know that it is impossible to herd cats, who are proud animals. If the cat will not listen, please disconnect his user account.

I have cautioned the other person that messages, including trolling, on my user talk page, may be archived, deleted, or ridiculed. My talk page belongs to me. Please give your cat a few live mice to keep him happy and busy. Robert McClenon 02:26, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Erwin's cat !

Can you tell your master that I quoted him on my french user page ? Thanks

Hashar 02:50, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

sorry

Hi, sorry but I had to delete your signature from the bottom of the Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/R. fiend page, as it was out of the place of any discussion. I wish you happiness and prosperity, tho. Cheers! -- BD2412 talk 21:29, 16 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Admin?

I thank your cat for nominating me for admin status. I would be interested later. At this time I have not been in Wikipedia long enough. Also, I have enemies on the American Right who will try to use arguments of inexperience or a claim of bias against me. I am not biased. The real reason that I have no enemies on the American Left is that the American Left is a threatened species that is hiding from the active campaign by the American Right to make it extinct. If they were as loud and arrogant as the American Right is now or as they were when I was young, I would have enemies on the Left also. Robert McClenon 02:14, 17 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA

Thanks for your support in my RfA. It's greatly appreciated. -R. fiend 15:12, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yep

That's my concern too...I'm not interested in a politically charged debate about my place in this Wiki. In all honesty, I wouldn't push my priviledges or "power" and would only use the admin thing for vandalism roll back, blocking repeating violations and the like...I'm not even that keen on the whole 3RR thing as sometimes folks get heated and violate that rule and it isn't done maliciously. I'm not in that much of a hurry anyway so if it happens, it happens...Sidaway would be the one I would want to do the nominating and demonstrates to me that even though he and I are oftentimes on opposite sides of the fence politically, he doesn't hold that against me. That shows character on his part.--MONGO 19:03, 25 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

ED Photos

Erwin, I'm listing both of the photos you uploaded on IfD this morning, as they're both copyright violations and WP has no right to have them here. Please do us all a favor and, if you insist on continuing to update Encyclopedia Dramatica, doing so with images that have a clear copyright permission on them, and NOT ones from her website (with explicit rules) and Myspace (with a TOS). --Badlydrawnjeff 12:13, 27 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I made sure the second image was copyvio free - it was taken from a promotional website advertising Sherrod's website. Erwin
The second image is not copyvio free. For one, does the promotional website allow for you to take images without permission? Did you get permission from the person who allowed the promo site to use them? The obvious answer is no. The images will almost certainly be deleted for copyvio regardless of this discussion as a result. --Badlydrawnjeff 15:14, 27 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
FYI, the copyright info you requested is posted in the IfD. Sorry, still no nudes. --Badlydrawnjeff 05:18, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Jaxl's RfA

Hi Erwin, thanks for your vote of confidence on my RfA! Robert 15:59, 1 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Least I could do. Nice work. Erwin

Complaint

Hello, I just checked the block log and noticed the number of blocks you've been performing. While I appreciate that you're attempting to prevent vandalism, I see no reason to block 90% + of those IP addresses besides them being open proxys. Your blocks are disrupting the block log, and the shire volume of them makes it nearly impossible for other admins to check the validity of them. If you want to block proxys from accessing the site, you should speak to a developer about implementing a software based solution rather than misusing the block user privlige. Erwin

I will add that several users are considering an RFC so it might be a good idea to stop at least for the time being. Erwin
If you dislike the idea of this bot Wikipedia talk:Bots is the best place to bring up the matter, but there appears to be quite some support for it. The blocks are easy to verify though, as all blocked IPs have an edit claiming to be an open proxy in their edit history. --fvw* 15:56, 3 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I support a software based solution to open proxies but not mass blocking of 1000+ accounts! Anyway if you say it has support then it is not my place, but I haven't seen anything on the talk page you mention from the developers. Erwin
Nope, I discussed it on IRC. If you think the block table is still going to cause technical issues I can walk you through it if you want though... --fvw* 16:10, 3 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Closing the RfC

Hello again, Erwin. I've noticed that your behavior on Wikipedia has improved over the past few weeks, so I've requested that our RfC against you be removed and archived. SlimVirgin has done this for us. I wish to start over again with you and hopefully put the past behind us. Acetic'Acid 16:43, 15 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This is good news. I do not think an RFC was necessary, but I have used some of the feedback positively, although I am certain that several of the endorsers were trolls. No problems. Erwin

About your comment on my talk page..

At this point, it could definitly help if you could help bring a sysop over to encyclopedia dramatica. Also, I would like to point you to a comment I just made on the ED talk page. Talk:Encyclopædia_Dramatica#Get_the_encyclopedia_dramatica_admins_out_of_here. --Depakote 15:22, 31 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

3RR

I've had to report you for violation of the Three Revert Rule. You've been added to the bottom of the admin page linked within. --badlydrawnjeff 21:25, 1 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

hi, there is an organized campaign to save the above self-promotional vanity games-club page from deletion.... i'm wondering if you'd be willing to take a look and voice your opinion? normally i wouldnt care but (a) i hate organized campaigns from groups of users (especially when they have vested interests but dont declare them) and (b) when challenged about it, they suggested i try it myself! so here i am.... cheers! Zzzzz 20:43, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Good riddance old boy

Glad to see you go. This is great news for the project. Erwin

Who are you? I don't think we have met. I am sure I would remember judging from your apathy. --Cool CatTalk|@ 14:17, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please refrain from violation of WP:NPA Mr. Erwin, or actions will be taken. That slanderous comment was extremely provocative. -ZeroTalk 14:28, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am still wondering who the heck are you... I know only two individuals who wants to get rid of me that badly. --Cool CatTalk|@ 15:39, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it would be a really good idea, Erwin, if you explained what the hell you thought you were doing when you made this comment. Think carefully before responding. Such incivility is very inappropriate on Wikipedia, as you may recall from times in the past when you've gotten in trouble for misbehaving. fuddlemark (fuddle me!) 13:05, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

Hey Erwin, We're using the {{subst:afd1}} template for Articles for Deletion now (Votes for Deletion is an obsolete name). Check out WP:AFD. Happy patrolling! --Andy Saunders 14:27, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Douchebag Award

, 2000

For outstanding failure

Thanks, but please sign your comments in the future. --Cool CatTalk|@ 15:22, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding this award, could you please do us all a favour and stay civil? We're trying to build an encyclopedia here, and while rewards are usually very helpful in rewarding and motivating great editors, you'll probably understand that a reward like this will not help in reaching our goals. So, helpful contributors are welcome, but if you continue your personal attacks you'll be blocked (again). So please stick to useful edits and stay away from personal attacks like these! Thanks! --JoanneB 15:49, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, its okay. Erwin will have plently of time to think it over after his inevitible block, which I've informed an admistrator about. -ZeroTalk 16:51, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

You have been blocked for 5 days for this edit summary. Personal attacks are not tolerated on Wikipedia. --Lord Deskana (talk) 21:30, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Block extended to 1 week for evading blocks. If you have comments on the block, comment here. You've been blocked enough times to know that evading blocks is bad. --Lord Deskana (talk) 23:08, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Block timer reset and block extended to a month. I suggest you stop and take a minute to learn that your actions will not be tolerated on Wikipedia. --Lord Deskana (talk) 19:37, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spam in DJ-Kicks

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on DJ-Kicks, by 72.76.101.6 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because DJ-Kicks is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting DJ-Kicks, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 23:12, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
