My name is Cormac Lawler. I did a PhD at the University of Manchester, on the process of setting up and developing Wikiversity. Previously, I've studied how the Wikipedia project is constructing a learning community as much as it is creating an encyclopedia, which was the basis for my M.Ed dissertation in Communication, Education and Technology (also in Manchester). I'm very interested in online collaboration and community building and I am particularly studying interpersonal dynamics, conflict resolution and identity within collaborative projects.
I can be contacted at cormaggio (at) gmail.com.
