I'm many things, but mostly I edit pages about trans issues on wikipedia, as well as fixing grammar issues.

I'm twenty-four, from the US of A, and a transgender woman. I have an interest in the soft sciences, particularly sociology, where one of my nearly completed degrees is from, as well as an interest in creative writing, where my other degree resides. Mostly, I talk on the internet when I think people are being obviously wrong, thus the focus on transness, because there is a great deal of obvious wrongness about transness.

Someday, I'll have time and energy to just care about pages about fiction, but only in the idyllic and probably-never-coming someday. The someday of the world to come, perhaps, more than the someday of after graduation.

One of the things I think is most important in regards to editorial stances is There is no 'objective' view that stands outside of time or place. Therefore, our jobs as editors are not to appease some global existant center, which is a nonsense concept, if you think about it for a moment. Rather, the most NPOV stances is the one that is backed by facts, current evidence, and sophisticated research and historical work.

NPOV does not care if you do not believe in global warming. It is NPOV to say you are wrong in such an instance, although it is not NPOV to call you stupid.

It is satisfying. But it isn't NPOV.
