"Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but they pick themselves up and hurry off." [Winston Churchill]. Some of them seem to edit Wikipedia before they hurry off. I am interested in learning more about the process and occasionally try it myself.
"War is not about who is right, it is about who is left". Apparently so are edit wars. This quote is often attributed to pacifists who could be right. Personally I'd rather be left.
"Live never to be ashamed if anything you say or do is published around the world, even if what is said is not true." [Richard Bach]
"Just because I’m paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not really after me" and yet "Just because someone is out to get you, that’s no reason to feel paranoid" I try to stay on the healthy side of borderline paranoia.
The Optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds, the Pessimist fears it is true.[Robert Oppenheimer]
A reason to stay be an optimist and Assume Good Faith not just as a Wikipedia Policy: "Two friends, an optimist and a pessimist were hiking when darkness fell and they decided to call it a night. The optimist lay down to sleep in the middle of the road. The pessimist asked him: "Are you crazy? what if a car comes by and runs your over?". The optimist wasn't worried, he assumed that if a car comes it will see him and veer aside. The pessimist decided to sleep on the side of the road, just to be safe. In the middle of the night, while they were sleeping, a car came by ... saw the optimist ... and veered to the side of the road. "
