User:Jorgenev/Wadsworth constant
The Wadsworth constant is an internet meme that originated on the social media website reddit in October 2011. The constant is 30% which is alleged to be the portion of an internet video that can be skipped at the beginning without missing anything important.[1][2][3] Shortly after its conception an engineer at Google added an easter egg to YouTube where appending &wadsworth=1
to a video URL would start it 30% of the way in.[4][5]
