This very novice 1st article is intended to organize and impart my memories of the U.S. Army's 10th General Medical Dispensary, a subunit of the 97th General Army Hospital. I was stationed there, working the optometery clinic, between the tag end of August, 1972 and April, 1974. Am attempting to write a belated unit history, and I'm finding practically no information regarding the 10th. Any former unit members, old Cold Warriers or other informed folks, possibly military dependents, who were in Frankfurt, West Germany, during the above time frame finding yourself reading this, your input is very welcome indeed. After all, you must have had enough interest in the old place to "Google" it, or how else would you have ended up here other than simply blundering about in cyberspace?
