Release
The film premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival on September 11, 2012.[1] The film was released on July 23, 2013, by Tribeca Film.[2]
Jeremy Allen White has since denounced the film, stating in a 2020 interview “I still can’t believe Gus didn’t get more screen time. I adored that character. Wanted to watch the film so I went to Best Buy and bought the DVD, only to be horrified upon realizing I was barely in the thing. I spent hours up with the director at night painstakingly begging him to reassure me I would essentially be the main character, but I’m not even on the DVD menu. Not my movie, sorry.”
