Gbadewonuola Olateju Oyelakin (ⓘ; born 20 January 1979), known by his stage name Teju Babyface, is a Nigerian standup comedian, talk show host, producer, writer, and Christian. He is known for hosting The Teju Babyface Show which premiered in 2010.[1] He has also been referred to as "The King of Talk" by some audiences in Nigeria.[2]
He started his entertainment career in 1998 after playing a lead role in Diamond Ring, a movie franchise directed by Tade Ogidan.[3] In 2001, Teju Babyface appeared in Amaka Igwe's Solitaire, where he played the lead opposite Richard Mofe-Damijo.[citation needed] He also appeared in the television drama series One Too Much in the same period.[citation needed]
In 2017, he was appointed as the Ambassador of Nigeria for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG).[citation needed] His goals are decent work and economic growth[citation needed].
Career
In his first year of university, Teju Babyface joined the University of Lagos theatre outfit, Theatre 15, and appeared in on-campus stage productions and plays, including Jambitoast, Hell's Invitation, Nightmare, Dawn of Decisions and His Wife The Waif.[citation needed] In 1998, he was cast in Diamond Ring, a Nollywood thriller film directed by Tade Ogidan.[3] In 2000, he featured on The Nite of a Thousand Laffs, a popular comedy show in Nigeria.[citation needed]
In 2010, Teju Babyface premiered The Teju Babyface Show, the first late-night television show in Nigeria.[1] Guests have included Kate Henshaw, Jimi Agbaje and 9ice.[4][5]
He also started his own podcast "The Teju Babyface Deep Dive".[6]
As of 2024, his podcast on Youtube and Instagram blend Christian prophecy with biblical references, Yoruba teachings and proverbs, social commentary from successful African businessmen, and practical advice on immigrating to the USA. He also offers paid resources for those seeking to navigate the American immigration process.

Personal life
Oyelakin is married to Oluwatobiloba Banjoko since September 2012. In 2018, the couple had twins.[7]
