Thorn6130 can you explain how this is substantively different from content in Priesthood in the Catholic Church, and particularly that at Priesthood in the Catholic Church#Theology of the priesthood? Or why it is necessary to have a separate article rather than add to the existing one? I am minded (as part of WP:NPP) to redirect the article there, but wanted to give you an opportunity to point out nuances that I may have missed. Hello,

Thanks for giving me the opportunity. At, WikiProject Catholicism we wanted to move this into its own article because it is much, much more in-depth and biblically rooted topic that the modern office of the priesthood itself, if that makes sense. Priesthood in the Catholic Church#Theology of the priesthood should actually direct here, and the content should be removed from that section as it will be duplicated here. I was planning on doing that as part of my cleanup, but forgot. What is the best way to go about that? Just leave the see also to this article there? Any insight is appreciated.

I suggest you first try and get some consensus within WP:CATHOLICISM that this article is on the right lines, and then discuss there how best to deal with the existing section in Priesthood in the Catholic Church. If you are going to cut'n'paste content across, then you need to follow the rules in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia - basically make sure that your edit summary acknowledges the original source. You will probably want to leave a short paragraph in the existing section together with a {{Main}} template pointing to this article, but that is best discussed with your colleagues at WP:CATHOLICISM.

At the moment, I would say that the article is quite primary source heavy, and it would benefit from more secondary sources that discuss the topic in a critical, scholarly way to better establish notability. I'm going to put an {{Under construction}} template on the page that will give you and the WikiProject a bit of breathing space, but I'd like to see some consensus and improvement in the short term.
