Tamiya Racing Factory
There's quite a large part about Tamiya Racing Factory. Does this really need to be in the main article? TFR is only a small part of Tamiya and it seems a bit off-topic to talk about the chassis developments and drivers in an artcle which I think should mainly be about their scale model business. --Soupisgoodfood 12:43, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know much about the TRF, but I think that information about Tamiya's radio control models is important to the Tamiya page. I don't have a citation (so I'm not going to edit the main page), but quite a few RC enthusiasts (myself included) started with Tamiya products. BaikinMan 15:07, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
1/25th scale tanks.
There is no mention of this series: Panther, Chieftain, Centurian, etc...can someone who remembers all of the range include them in the article. Red Sunset 20:49, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
"Balanced" view.
While their airplanes are certainly state of the art, the 1/35 AFV line is not always that good. Someone more knowledgeable in the subject should include that part. Many recently issued kits are reissues of older ones from the '70s, are inaccurate (possibly because most of them have a "motorized" past), and are less detailed than the current top-level kits from DML, or Trumpeter (and don't contain those "aftermarket" parts the latter two frequently include). The pricing is high, too. There's a general consensus that Tamiya "fled" to the 1/48 scale.
Sort of Biased
This article has some weasel words, such as in the first paragraph (Tamiya builds the finest R/C cars in the world, etc.) so I added a template stating this. Wikistuff 01:16, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, clear bias.60.47.0.30 (talk) 03:47, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Wild Willy 2
Wild Willy 2 is not based on Lunch Box. The only similarity is the tires, and nothing else is the same. Lunch Box uses Grasshopper/Hornet/Midnight Pumpkin's rigid axle, Wild Willy 2 has no rigid axle. Wild Willy2 uses same exact gear box as the Wild Dagger. Lunch Box again uses single wishbone suspension from Grasshopper/Hornet/Midnight Pumpkin. Wild Willy 2 uses double wishbone suspension for all 4 wheels. Of course Wild Dagger uses two gear boxes to power all 4 wheels, Wild Willy 2 uses only one gearbox to power two rear wheels. But same exact gear box nonetheless. Wild Willy 2 and Lunch Box has no similarity aside from the fact that they share same tires.
Wikipedia articles on RC cars
They are no or limited articles on the cars listed, therefore why state that there are pages on these cars?! 58.164.153.230 (talk) 06:23, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
As of November 2009, there are still no articles on the RC cars listed. Therefore, I propose to delete the following paragraph:
"Individual Wikipedia articles exist for each of the following models: Countach Competition Special, Super Champ, Ford F-150 Ranger, Toyota Hilux 4x4, Chevrolet Blazing Blazer, Hilux 4x4 High-lift, Mountaineer, Ford F-350 High-lift, Can-Am Lola Racing Master Mk.1, Subaru Brat, Lancia Rally, Grasshopper, Mighty Frog, Wild One, Hornet, Hotshot, Desert Gator, Sand Viper, Avante, Avante 2001, Top Force, Dyna Storm, Dark Impact, Keen Hawk, Avante Mk. II, Twin Detonator, Wild Dagger, Double Blaze, Blackfoot Xtreme, Clod Buster, TXT1, Tamtech Series, Terra Crusher, TNX (Tamiya), TNX 5.2R, Nitrage 5.2"
Deletion will follow shortly, if the articles in question are not produced. Zengakuren (talk) 01:09, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Anachronism
The article says "In 1960, beginning with the Honda F1 (RA273)...". Tamiya cannot have begun with the Honda RA273 in 1960 (unless they had a time travelling machine) or perhaps they didn't begin in 1960. 209.93.222.57 (talk) 18:50, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
