Proposition to retitle the article to Sonic the Hedgehog (media franchise). • Oppose. "Sonic the Hedgehog (media franchise)" would be bad because Sonic the Hedgehog is already a media franchise. I don't really support "Paramount franchise" either; although there is some precedent with "Peter Parker (Sam Raimi film series)", I don't believe that such a disambiguation is necessary, because there is only one series of Sonic the Hedgehog films as opposed to multiple Spider-Man series. Really, though, I just think that calling it a "film series" is sufficient. While there are some spin-off comics and a television series, the films are clearly the main element; it's not a perfect title, but it's also not especially misleading. — gabldotink [ talk | contribs | global account ] 04:52, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The title Sonic the Hedgehog (film series) is still a locked redirect, because, according to the guideline, a film series should consist of at least three films. Only two films have been released, and this film series is too soon. Please do not waste your time and that of the reviewers by resubmitting, until a third film is released.
