Edits following suggestions (GA)

Infobox and lead

  • We may have discussed this before, but shouldn't release dates be listed for the album the song was on when it is not a single? Done
  • "from the bass-line and the title." → "from the bassline and title." with the wikilink Done (by the same token, removed the link in next section)
  • "promising herself she will be" → "promising she will be" since the body states she promises this both to herself and the lover Done

Background and production

  • "a bunch of music" I don't think this is appropriate language for Wiki like previously said; to elaborate, this does not sound encyclopaedic Done (My bad, had seen the suggestion but thought this had already been removed and did not even see it....)
  • The sentence about slowing down before the chorus should be merged with the tempo track one because they are too short on their own Done
  • To provide img relevancy, note that Julia Michaels also contributed backing vocal harmonies Done
  • "and gives the song" → "and gave the song" Done
  • I would recommend invoking the ref every two sentences since one invoke of the citation does not cover the entire para, especially when there is usage of quotes Done
  • "of the notes are now in reverb." shouldn't this be "were in" instead? Done
  • Like the second para, you should invoke the ref every two sentences in the third and after any sentences using direct quotations Done
  • "which himself produced," → "which he himself produced," Done

Music and lyrics

  • Wikilink verse–chorus form Done
  • Wikilink synthesizer Done
  • [12] should be invoked after thick Done, also unless I'm missing something here none of the sources appear to mention any clicks on the song? Done (I have also removed the word from the LS; also see this edit
  • Ditto for the groove--removed  Done
  • "stress-reliving" → "stress-relieving" on the audio sample text Done
  • Pipe stabs to Stab (music) Done
  • [24][8] should be placed in numerical order Done (same for 29/8)
  • "when she sings" → "when Lipa sings" Done
  • [30] should be invoked every two sentences Done

Release and promotion

  • Wikilink lyric video to itself rather than the sub-section per MOS:LINK2SECT-->Not sure I understood. Lyric video is a redirect.  Done
  • Pipe Tiny Desk Concert to Tiny Desk Concerts Done (but not to #2020s section, as this may not be the point)

Reception

  • Put some of The Wall Street Journal into your own words to avoid overquoting Done
  • Invoke the PopMatters ref after the first sentence too since that uses direct quotations Done
  • Pipe Vulture to Vulture (website) Done Done
  • "named it" → "saw the song as" to be less repetitive Done
  • Put some of Wonderland into your own words to avoid overquoting Done
  • Swap [61] with [62] for the correct order in correspondence with the countries Done

Track listings

  • Add the citations for each track listing. ? These 2 for-digital-download-only remixes (that appear on Club Future Nostalgia) are hard to source with duration. One is on AllMusic; the other can be found on Discogs and similar sites. The 2 remixes are linked in EL (YT videos)..... What is the best solution?
  • Cite Dancing Astronaut as publisher instead on ref 31 Done
  • Cite Universo Online as publisher on ref 48 Done
  • Why does ref 49 feature a set of publishers? Done (My bad)
  • Fix MOS:CAPS issues with ref 60 Done AGATA seems to be the correct capitalisation, unless I am mistaken.
Thank you very much@Kyle Peake: for the review and suggestions. Not to mention the extraordinary promptitude. -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 23:14, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Since the beginning of the review, I have also made 2 edits unlisted here: this one (reverted myself for the second part of that edit; I was trying to rephrase and stopped in the middle; see below; apologies) and that one.

Note
I will stop editing the page until the reviewer can have a first look at the changes. Thanks.-My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 10:34, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Final sentence in the Music and Lyrics section (general/open non-urgent question)

"The song additionally sees Lipa in an emotionally tense moment with her lover, pleading to stay as he slows down the whirring of her mind and for stress-relieving sex from him."

Should we make this sentence gender-neutral or is it OK? Also, is ”Lipa” an accepted wording for the "character" in the song?
