- The result of this discussion was to merge per WP:SNOWBALL.Lone dissenting voice was a single user.Article is too promotional and copy-like to stand on it's own. Aru@baska❯❯❯ Vanguard 08:08, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
- An article on that topic already exists: Indian 500 and 1000 rupee note demonetisation. Suggest merge. utcursch | talk 18:14, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

- Disagree.--The article speaks on policy, and purpose of such policy, kindly don't confuse the policy Junosoon (talk) 06:16, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
- I disagree with you, Junosoon. PM Modi did announce the policy but this article and the article into which this article is proposed to be merged have the same contents. This article offers nothing new. --AdityaChanana (talk) 06:25, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
- The article has different tone and if you read it you will understand , the article is not giving details of ATM chaos etc, cash withdrawal details, etc . Those contents are not included in this article. It is not focussed on RBI details, new notes. The article informs us for what purpose, demonetisation has been done by Narendra Modi and current review/ and future decisions on the demonetisation policy by Mr. Modi Junosoon (talk) 06:34, 14 November 2016 (UTC). This article , Narendra Modi's demonetisation policy, has its own standalone individual importance, with different contents, headings and references, please check the edit history of two articles, if there is any duplication from one to another.Junosoon (talk) 07:36, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
- Junosoon, I don't think this article meets Wikipedia's policy of notability. (See Wikipedia:Notability). Narendra Modi introduced the policy on behalf of the Government of India and not by himself. I think we can provide the reader with a better context by merging this article. --AdityaChanana (talk) 09:37, 15 November 2016 (UTC)

- Disagree: As an editor I am seeing biased promotion , and vandalism to harm the spirit of Wikipedia guidelines in respectWP:AFC of article creation policy by forcing and pressuring the author, and force to promote the Indian 500 and 1000 rupee note demonetisation article, which is already long enough, to be divided into section. My article has been repeatedly vandalised by --AdityaChanana (talk), as repeated efforts to redirect, and I suspect sock puppetry in his efforts to demean my efforts to contribute to wikipedia in writing a standalone article with a scope of its own, as he has been commenting on notability issues, redirecting. His redirect effort was undone by other editor,in edit history ,and merge tagged was removed, yet he tagged the article to create undue criticism ,to promote Indian 500 and 1000 rupee note demonetisation , though as author , I have the right to inform that article created by me, has much different scope, and will have lot of potential for future development. Junosoon (talk) 04:04, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Junosoon, The article created by you "Narendra Modi’s demonetisation policy" has no relevant reason to exist as the demonetization process is not a policy at the first point, the demonetization process is a decision by the Government of India and Reserve Bank of India all together (not Narendra Modi's personal policy or decision), to eliminate unaccounted cash (the reason understood), it was just announced by Narendra Modi as the Prime minister of India over the unscheduled TV broadcast. So the article "Narendra Modi’s demonetisation policy" must be deleted. Hydloc009 (talk) 05:13, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Junosoon, I would request you to abstain from personal attacks, and rather contribute towards a more constructive discussion. I also request you to check out Wikipedia:Ownership of content. Thanks --AdityaChanana (talk) 05:34, 16 November 2016 (UTC)

- Junosoon if you look at this you will see exactly what text is exactly the same. It's not a quote:
- " humanitarian grounds notes of five hundred and one thousand rupees will be accepted at government hospitals, pharmacies in government hospitals (with prescription of a doctor), booking counters for railway tickets, government buses, airline ticket counters, petrol, diesel and gas stations of PSU oil companies, consumer cooperative stores authorized by the state or central government, milk booths authorized by state government and crematoria, burial grounds"
