Talk:Matt Walker (drummer)

misc discussion

---Matt Walker played drums on the soundtrack to the film Ransom, and he also appears with Most Dangerous Race on the MySpace/SPIN Smashing Pumpkins tribute album. I would have added them myself, but after reading this discussion page, I'm a little scared to. 209.6.3.46 17:06, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to add them. Yeah, this discussion looks a bit daunting, but it really has much less to do with Walker than a whole different issue entirely. If you have a source that demonstrates these two tidbits I'd say go for it and add them.--Isotope23 17:09, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The "official" web sites are down for Matt and Billy, and the external links to MySpace should be taken down. The references to other no name and not notable projects/acts should also be discarded. 24.19.255.179 00:14, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A notable source per WP for Matt Walker: The Orchard

Apparently Matt plays drums with Nysted and is the featured drummer on the SHOOT FROM THE HIP album FYI 58.18.31.150 03:20, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Look in the talkpage archives... the Nysted stuff isn't notable.--Isotope23 talk 14:51, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You are kidding, right? Joker admin. Where we come from, the eye sees what is real. 221.229.253.106 20:25, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, apparently they eye sees real enough to use TOR to make the same arguments that have have been repeatedly refuted and disproven when made by other IPs (who, while from disparate geographical locations according to IP tracing, all have the same linguistic style... funny that).--Isotope23 talk 20:33, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Aw, man, you shouldn't have mentioned the TOR thing - could've been a great way to smoke out more open proxies! Tony Fox (arf!) 20:46, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ooops! Disregard the above... keep editing as you were my anonymous friend.--Isotope23 talk 20:50, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No need for TOR. We are here. 211.99.194.151 20:43, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good fun with you. No harm done. Tour continues. 221.208.14.72 04:17, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We are on our way to Europe ! Hold down the fort! 221.208.14.72 18:50, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Mr. Isotope,

Why do you keep dead web sites for Corgan and Walker, as well as, MP3 and MySpace links as references and sources? You seem to talk reliablity, notability and verifiability, but do not "practice what you preach." 211.99.194.151 03:37, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Well, considering that nothing in the article is referenced or sourced to "dead web sites for Corgan and Walker, as well as, MP3 and MySpace links" if you look at the references section... your point falls flat. There are some dead links in the External links section which I will remove. All I can say to that is that I don't spend my days clicking on every single external link in articles to make sure they still work. Thanks for pointing those out. MP3 and MySpace are acceptable external links and can even be sources for things like tourdates if a band uses MySpace to disseminate that information... but having a MySpace doesn't reliably suggest any sort of notability. You should have seen the virtual army of "friends" I had there before I canceled my account; you'd almost think people liked me.--Isotope23 talk 04:03, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
