Edit Request: Expanding KOHO Page with Products, History, and Partnerships (COI Disclosure)

  • What I think should be changed (include citations):

I am an employee of KOHO and am submitting this request in accordance with Wikipedia’s Conflict of Interest (COI) policy. I will not edit the page directly but am proposing the following changes for review and implementation by neutral editors, because the existing page is no longer accurate:

1. Update headquarters to Vancouver, British Columbia.

   1. KOHO no longer maintains an office in Toronto, as the company has gone fully remote with a mailing address maintained in Vancouver.

2. Add a new section titled **"Products and Services"** to describe KOHO’s offerings:

   - **Prepaid Mastercard:** A reloadable prepaid Mastercard for managing spending and savings.
   - **Credit Building:** A paid feature to help users improve their credit history.
   - **Earn Interest:** A feature allowing users to earn interest on their balances.
   - **Virtual Card:** A virtual card for secure online transactions.
   - **Cash Advance ("Cover"):** A short-term cash advance feature for immediate financial needs.
   - **Buy Now Pay Later:** A payment option allowing users to pay for purchases in instalments.

3. Expand the **"History"** section:

   - Include details about KOHO’s founding in 2014 by Daniel Eberhard in Vancouver, Canada.
   - Mention KOHO’s mission to empower users with user-friendly tools and innovative financial products.

4. Add a section titled **"Sponsorships and Partnerships"** to highlight collaborations:

   - In 2024, KOHO became the presenting partner of the NBA Playoffs in Canada.

5. Add a **"Memberships"** section under "Overview":

   - Include affiliations with:
       - Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC)
       - Interac
       - Mastercard

6. Mention KOHO’s recent **rebranding efforts**:

   - In 2024, KOHO updated its visual identity with a new logo and design system to reflect its mission and enhance the user experience.

7. Update the infobox:

   - Add KOHO’s key services:
       - **Spending Account:** Link to "Bank account" Wikipedia page
       - **Savings Account:** Link to "Savings account" Wikipedia page
       - **Credit Building:** Link to "Credit history" or "Credit score" Wikipedia page

  • Why it should be changed:

The current page lacks detailed information about KOHO’s products, history, partnerships, and recent developments. Adding these changes will make the page more accurate, comprehensive, and neutral, aligning with Wikipedia’s guidelines. These updates will ensure readers have access to well-sourced, up-to-date information about KOHO.
