Title
I suggest to call the lemma "Stella Polaris (ship)" or "Stella Polare (ship)" to honour the name under which she obtained the biggest achievement of her career as scientific exploration vessel.

Requested move 9 November 2023
- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved. Of all the options proposed, the disambiguator "1881 ship" seems to have the most authority (WP:NCS). But if I have this wrong, we can open a new discussion. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 19:15, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
Jason (ship) → Jason (Norwegian ship) – The current title is incomplete disambiguation from USS Jason (AC-12), USS Jason (AR-8), and the various ships listed at HMS Jason. Additionally, this ship isn't even the most widely viewed ship by the name Jason, so a PDAB is definitely unsuitable here. - Support its likely those with prefixes would also be known without them. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:47, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nominator. Killuminator (talk) 20:42, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
- Comment Per WP:NCS the article should be named Jason (1881) or possibly SS Jason (1881). A set index page titled List of ships named Jason could also be created Lyndaship (talk) 12:07, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Good catch, thank you! I wasn't previously aware of WP:NCS. I still find myself preferring Jason (Norwegian ship) as it feels clearer to me, but I'd definitely also be happy with Jason (1881 ship) or something similar. ModernDayTrilobite (talk • contribs) 15:18, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Move to Jason (whaling ship). Probably best to use its type rather than its nationality. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:46, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support move. No strong preference between Jason (Norwegian ship) and Jason (whaling ship). Redirects are cheap. BD2412 T 18:01, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support further disambiguation, but preferably as Jason (1881 ship) due to WP:NCSHIP. BegbertBiggs (talk) 15:39, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
