Talk:Harrison A. Williams

Questions about Harrison's actual guilt

On the (presumably un-encyclopaedic but) well-regarded 'Language Log' linguistics blog, the professional linguist Roger Shuy, who is often called in court cases as an expert witness to analyse taped conversations, states here http://itre.cis.upenn.edu/~myl/languagelog/archives/005213.html#more (sorry, can't do clever formatting stuff) that Williams unequivocally refused an FBI-proffered bribe and never accepted any money, yet was still found guilty of doing so. There's also a New Yorker article ("Words on Trial" from 2012) that cites Shuy and a prosecution memo in questioning Williams's guilt. I'm surprised none of this is in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.38.249.208 (talk) 16:58, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
