Question about FAC review

Hi, this article is scheduled to be a featured article on 7 January 2017, but the review was closed on 4 December 2014, three years earlier. What was the cause for the delay? Does it really take this long for FACs to get onto the main page? Thanks, Icebob99 (talk) 18:58, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Only one featured article can run per day, so if there are 5,000 featured articles it takes 5,000 days to run them all -- and of course more are being written all the time. It used to be the case that featured articles were being created faster than one per day, so we were falling behind, but nowadays we only add about 18-20 per month. If that continues, eventually every article that is still FA-quality will run on the main page, and we'll have to start re-running articles. Issue

Hi, this article doesn't seem to mention Brigitte Manceaux, his niece, one of the most important figures in Poulenc's life. Why is this? I'm personally perplexed and very much surprised... MarcelDuprè1886 (talk) 14:48, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Brigitte Manceaux is not mentioned at all in the 8,000-word Grove article on Poulenc and she is mentioned only once in Ivry's biography. In Nichols's biography she is mentioned several times, but mostly as recipient of a quoted letter from FP. If you think his article needs mention of her perhaps you'd like to draft a few words for consideration here. I'm sure colleagues will look favourably on a proportionate sentence or two if there is a case for them. Tim riley talk 19:38, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
