Bias?
While I really, really like this album, the article is obviously in need of some editing. The last sentence of the first paragraph should probably go, and the last section is entirely subjective. AHMYBRAIN 20:21, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Clarity.jpeg
Image:Clarity.jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 18:37, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

GA Review
- This review is transcluded from Talk:Clarity (Jimmy Eat World album)/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.
Reviewer: Carbrera (talk · contribs) 03:36, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
Hello, I am Carbrera and I will be reviewing this Good Article nomination. For your information, I am reviewing this article as part of the March 2021 GAN backlog drive and 2021 WikiCup. Please expect any comments and suggestions, and my final decision to be listed below within the next week. Happy editing, Carbrera (talk) 03:36, 2 March 2021 (UTC).
- @Carbrera: Hi. Any update on this? Yeepsi (talk) 08:41, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
Infobox and lead
- I removed two flatlists from parameters where it is already preinstalled for the editor
- I would provide a link to Van Nuys
Composition and lyrics
- I would provide a link to Timpani
- I would provide the 1989 release year to A Prayer for Owen Meany, either as "John Irving's 1989 novel A Prayer for Owen Meany." or "John Irving's novel A Prayer for Owen Meany (1989)."
Release and promotion
- Could you clarify what you mean with "Clarity was released worldwide on January 29, 2001, where it was promoted with the 2001 singles 'Blister' and 'Lucky Denver Mint'", since it was already established above that these singles were released in 1999 too?
- Fixed. Yeepsi (talk) 21:09, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
Reception
- Per Template:Album ratings, terms like "Favorable" from CMJ New Music Report and Ox-Fanzine, and "Unfavorable" from BBC Music should be removed from the ratings boxes
Charts
- I added an option to the table to allow for sorting, since there is more than one entry
References
- I would suggest adding locations to the sleeve/liner notes templates you've used. I think it's a good way to distinguish different releases
- For citation #6, I would provide a link to Jimmy Eat World
- Citations #15, 23, 71, 72 need their access-dates reformatted as "Month #, ####"
- Citations #15, 23, 69, 71, 72 need their archive-dates reformatted as "Month #, ####"
- For citation #20, I would convert the cite web template to the cite Tweet template
- Citation #42 may be lacking an identifier, please add it if possible (I would add a location here too)
- It doesn't have a catalogue number, likely being a promo (though some of the other promos listed do have one, this doesn't). Have added location, though. Yeepsi (talk) 21:09, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
- Citations #71, 72 need their dates reformatted as "Month #, ####"
External links
- I alphabetized the categories for convenience
- Do you think images could be used to help illustrate elements of the article's prose?
- I would've loved to include pics of the producer or one of the studios, but there isn't anything on Commons. Yeepsi (talk) 21:09, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
Overall
This was an enjoyable read, even though I have never listened to Jimmy Eat World before. I think the prose is of above average quality and made the read very interesting. I will place this GA nomination on hold while the above comments are being addressed. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you very much, Carbrera (talk) 20:46, 14 March 2021 (UTC).
- Made the changes. As a side note, if you want to get into the band, I recommend the album after this – Bleed American. Yeepsi (talk) 21:09, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
- I am satisfied with the edits, and thank you for the prompt response. Also, thank you for the music recommendation, I enjoy them. I will pass this nomination now. Carbrera (talk) 03:22, 15 March 2021 (UTC).
