Just so you guys know, he wasnt offered the maximum contract. The only current player on the jazz to have recieved that was Andrei Kirilenko. Someone should delete that and fix it...
Oh and someone might want to mention that Utah was actually going to sign him (well draft him) and decided at the last second not to...this might be interesting for people to read. Especially since only a few years later they end up giving him ike 68 million when they could have had him for like 10 times less..lol
Boozer has been signed by the Chicago Bulls for 5 years, $80 million. [1] Eaglesfanhoping4sb (talk) 23:44, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Eaglesfanhoping4sb
Contract controversy section too long
Relative to the rest of the article, there is too much emphasis and detail about his controversial departure from Cleveland. Would anyone object if I substantially pared down that section?--The Fat Man Who Never Came Back 04:46, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- yes it's far too long and shouldn't even be in the front in the first place. Chensiyuan 07:55, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- I just tagged the article for the exact reasons said here, I was coming here to leave a comment. It;s nice to see people agree with me. Maybe if I have time I'll try to clean it up. Trevor GH5 04:55, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- I agree 100%. It is a very small part of his story. It pales against what he has accomplished in the past 2 years: becoming a premier player (and all-star). The contract controversy is never mentioned anymore, even by TV commentators. 07:18, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- The above statement is incorrect. Boozer is largely defined among NBA fans for what is widely and jokingly referred to as "stealing from a blind man," the blind man being former Cavaliers owner Gund. While Boozer's play in the 2007 playoffs is beginning to turn people around on him, Carlos Boozer, fairly or not, is absolutely marked by the Cavs affair.
- This last statement is wrong. Take a look at the Kobe Bryant page. It has one paragraph about his sexual assault case. Are you saying that Boozer's leaving Cleveland is five times more memorable than Bryant's rape charge? Only Cav fans would think that. Boozer's moving to Utah is worth one paragraph at most.
OK, OK. Here's what I did. I moved all the controversy info to a separate article. Now we can improve on Carlos's place in the Duke dynasty, his excellent 2007 post-season, and even his Alaska-themed tattoo [1]. elpincha 14:57, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
In the controversy section, it says the Cavs could only match up to the MLE due to the salary cap. Was the CBA different at that time, because teams can go over the cap to sign their own players. You can correct me if I'm wrong.
Notes
I assume that the dates on the retrievals that say they are from July 2008 (future) should be July 2007?SpellcheckW7 (talk) 03:03, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
There is no personal information on the page. I wanted to know more about his baby son's fight against sickle cell anemia. BK DC (talk) 16:34, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
There is conflicting info on where he is born. Is it Germany? Or Pakistan? And also, there is some random comment about mowing lawns near the bottom of the page.
- That was just graffiti. Thanks for fixing it. ·:· Will Beback ·:· 11:36, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
I think he looks like a Egyptian Pharaoh and should be nicknamed Babahotep The Pharaoh.
Biography
"Together, they have one child[2] and had twins the summer of 2007." This is kind of confusing. Is there any reason not to change it to "Together they have three children" or something like that? Chrieraux (talk) 04:13, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
German nationality?
An IP editor has been changing Boozer's nationality to German. While Boozer was born in Germany, he was born in an American military base, and he definitely holds American citizenship. (Remember that he has represented the US in international competition several times.)
He might be a dual citizen of the US and Germany, but we'll need to see a source. Zagalejo^^^ 23:26, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Rob Pelinka FAC
Boozer's agent has been at FAC for a while with little commentary. See Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Rob Pelinka/archive1.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 14:54, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

Boozer is still a free agent
Please stop changing it. Yes, Boozer is going to sign with Chicago, but it's not official until he signs, which hopefully will happen tomorrow. July 8 is the earliest date. We're dealing with the same thing at the LeBron James article. Enigmamsg 01:04, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Contradict template in biography section
He's a virgin but has three children? Or does that actually make him a born-again virgin? I can't quite figure this out.RadioKAOS (talk) 20:20, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- I'm sure it's just vandalism. I've removed it. Zagalejo^^^ 00:23, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
