The result of the move request was: moved. There is a consensus to move Bernard Hughes to Barney Hughes, and delete Barney Hughes (disambiguation) since hatnote could disambiguate better. (closed by non-admin page mover) Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 10:43, 17 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

– Reposted malformed request on behalf of User:Billsmith60, with the following rationale: "Barney Hughes, the 19th-century Belfast industrialist and philanthropist, is renowned to this day. Hence "Barney Hughes" should be his page and I recommend that "Bernard Hughes" should be moved to "Barney Hughes". I moved the "Barney Hughes" page detailing "Robert Wood Hughes", a minor rugby player, to one of that name and see that, helpfully, it has been renamed "Barney Hughes (rugby union). Thank you." 162 etc. (talk) 23:45, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It seems as if this proposal has unanimous support. Now that I have improved the article a little, including the subject's first name, can someone with the know-how request the following: 1. Move Bernard Hughes -> Barney Hughes. 2 Delete Barney Hughes (disambiguation). 3. Insert this hatnote at Barney Hughes: {{distinguish|text=Irish rugby player [[Barney Hughes (rugby union)]]}}. Thank you Billsmith60 (talk) 13:50, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
