Talk:Abd-Allah ibn Uthman
Contested deletion
This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (there are hundreds of books that testify to this, plus two references here are the biography of prophet muhammad, one by Ibn Ishaq and the other by Tabari the interpreter of the Quran) both translated by credible english professors --Valentino2013 (talk) 03:34, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
- The person is not notable if he/she died in infancy and did nothing while it was alive. I no someone who is related to Pocahontas and she doesn't have an article. United States Man (talk) 03:36, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

- The person is not notable. I don't see how this could stand as an article when the person is not notable for doing anything (except family). United States Man (talk) 03:43, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
- I've redirected it to Uthman_ibn_Affan#Life_in_Medina. The problem here is that apart from him having notable relatives (dad, grandfather), this infant didn't really have any notability. Sometimes infants like this can become notable, but this doesn't seem to be the case here. I did leave the history in case anyone wanted to userfy the data, but for now there's not really anything that specifically focuses on this infant apart from mentioning it in relation to his family members.
