Hey, thanks for this! One suggestion: could you also add detection for the other incorrect quotation mark styles that are mentioned in the MOS? Okay, first off, I thought this worked like the dash-fixing script and started it from the article rather than from the editing window. Wow this is amazing. Once I read the talk page discussion about running it with the edit window open, it worked perfectly and so easily!
