The map

I just don't think it's relevant there because the regional laws are covered more on the main LGBT rights in Russia page (where the map is present, though I copyedited the caption/legend), and the article is specifically about the federal law. April 2014

Information icon Hello, Crossswords. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.

For instance, in the Venice article, you referred to not "using our country in your list". Wikipedia is not comprised of people editing and guarding the articles of their respective countries to make them look as good as possible. One should take a neutral stance and include only factually-accurate information, without any consideration to their feelings for their country. Most of your edits have been constructive and have adhered to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, but from some, it is clear that you have strong personal beliefs about Russia, and all I ask is that you be careful not to let these opinions interfere with your good work on Wikipedia :) Silvrous Talk 19:18, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition requires better sources than an opinion piece, a supposedly "leaked" document, the always dubious Daily Mail, and Facebook and blog petitions. --NeilN talk to me 00:04, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting comments again

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Russian American, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. – Fayenatic London 07:54, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Language & economy chart

Hello, Crosswords. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. You recently added a chart captioned "The languages that have the most impact on the World Economy" to the article Language. Your edit summary said, "adding good example". The rather large chart is not an example of either language origin or the study of language, the sections just above and just below the chart. Therefore, I have removed the chart from the article. If you disagree and think the chart should be re-added, please comment at Talk:Language. Thanks, and happy editing, Cnilep (talk) 11:44, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

In case you missed the notification at Wikimedia Commons, I'd like to let you know that I have nominated the file containing the chart for deletion. Discussion is here. Your comments are welcome there. Cnilep (talk) 02:39, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Iryna Harpy. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Neo-Sovietism seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. IMF PPP Data

I noted your comment/revert on the GDP PPP illustration in Eurasian Economic Union using IMF data. Thanks for highlighting that. What's your recommendation? Use IMF 2013 nominal GDP and factor in OECD PPP data?

But a differnt question: it was an illustration without discreet numbers and was only intendet to put things in perspective. Do you think the age of the IMF PPP data makes such a big difference (for the top ten)? And it wasn't even ordered. --Aeroid (talk) 19:43, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited International Comparison Program, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page PPP (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello, I'm Iryna Harpy. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Religion in Latvia, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page.
Note that your additions are WP:PUFF & WP:PEACOCK unless you have a source to cite remarking on this unremarkable conclusion you've come to. Please demonstrate that these 3 forms of Christianity are the 3 most prominent in the world. You seem to have forgotten about Protestantism, Church of England and various other forms of Christian denominations.

Stop with the disruptive reverts and insulting edit summaries. It's unhelpful. If you have a case to make without insults, do so on the talk page, but if you don't it will just keep being reverted. Zero Serenity (talk - contributions) 20:00, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

DRN request

Your request for dispute resolution at the Dispute Resolution Noticeboard has been removed. The immediate reason was because we do not accept manually filed requests. To make a request at that page, please click the "Request Dispute Resolution" button in the header at the top of the page. However, if you had made your request in the proper way, it would still have been immediately closed because all moderated content dispute resolution at Wikipedia requires extensive talk page discussion before requesting assistance and I cannot find any such discussion in regard to this dispute. Finally, if this is, as I think it may be (I'm not certain), a dispute over the name of article, then the proper forum for such disputes is not any of the regular dispute resolution processes but instead, Requested Moves, so if I'm right about that, give RM a try. Why are you removing sourced material from the article? I have not replaced any source. I simply added a 2007 source from the IMF and expanded material from the ICP Data references already on the article.

Could you explain your specific problem with my edits please. Thanks. Antiochus the Great (talk) 15:45, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Eurasian Economic Union

Hello Crossswords, the Eurasian Economic Union will launch on January 1 2015 with 5 member states and candidates planning to the join in the future. We're looking for someone that can assess the article so that we can get it ranked as a good article before January 1. We're currently working to make it fit the featured article criteria. If someone could assess the article it would be greatly appreciated.

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Gaijin Entertainment shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Take it to the talkpage if you'd like to discuss this further Ironholds (talk) 17:08, 31 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at Gaijin Entertainment. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Swarm 05:20, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Note: This is a lenient block due to the amount of time it's been since your last one. However, given the slow pace of your edit warring, another block for continuing the same edit war may be quickly reinstated for a significantly longer duration. That section has remained in the article for nearly 1.5 years, and you have removed it 5 times in little more than a month. Please, discuss issues rather than edit war over them. Even unsourced content does not necessarily need to be removed and there was no particular need for your edit warring to remove the section, particularly when the removal was contested. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Reiterating the importance of edit summaries...

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Russians does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary.
Please note that the image you reinstated in the infobox was removed because there was no consensus to use a photo of a family from a particular region at a particular point in time as being representative of the entire history and culture known as "Russians". Please don't make unilateral decisions without even so much as an attempt to discuss issues of WP:PERTINENCE with other editors... and without even providing an edit summary.
