Hello Livajo and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
=Moving Eocene to Eocene Epoch etc
You have all the epochs to do in the Cretaceous after you've finished cleaning up all the double links you've created with this move. Don't lose any Discussion text. Should keep you out of trouble for days and days. Wetman 23:51, 12 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Swahili
Thanks for the edit at the Kiswahili page. I was in despair. Quill 00:19, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Nardwuar
Concerning the article you deleted: this was no wanton act of "testing" (vandalism) on my part. "Do do do do do", for your general information, is the phrase Nardwuar the Human Serviette is best known for. In the absense of an article, I thought I'd add this phrase in hopes of instigating one of our Canadian Wikipedians into writing a full article.
By and by, the most common response to his phraselette is: "do do", though you may chase him around, beat him, and steal his property. The Human Serviette, Ladies and Gentlemen!
Thanks!!
thanks for putting the accent on Les Lavendieres! I don't have a clue how to do it! Selphie 09:26, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Au Sable
Please do not cut and paste to move an article. Use the move tab at the top of your page. This moves the edit history along with the article. [[User:Bkonrad|older≠wiser]] 01:50, 26 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Oh, and when you move a page, you need to check the "What links here" and update links as needed. All the links to Au Sable River should be updated to link directly to Au Sable River (Michigan). [[User:Bkonrad|older≠wiser]] 01:58, 26 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Right. Will remember to do so in the future (still learning the ins and outs of Wikipedia; please bear with me). Livajo 01:59, 26 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Dear Livajo, I have a favour to ask you. Could you save and send me from your cache mem the page taxoboxing, becasue it was soon removed by a trigger happy big brother. and though I am not going to use it there again (probably was considered vandalism), i would like to keep as a memento. thanks apogr info@apogr.hu
- I can see why the article was deleted, as it did get rather POV after a few edits (i.e. referring to taxoboxing as a process of "censoring" without note that that is only one opinion), and I'm sorry but my browser is not set to keep a cache of visited pages. Livajo 14:40, 26 Aug 2004 (UTC)
